If so, today’s homework assignment is turn the volume down and just watch when they get the cards how many triples they get and report back to me with your findings. No hearthstone fanboys please.
I actually have never watched them play BG is it absurdly good luck they get? I’ve gone entire games with a full hand of cards that are the 2nd copy of my entire warband.
Like i need 1 of each minion to turn all of them gold but it never comes )unless of course i sell one of the copies then the one i needed pops up lol) do streamers get blizz luck?
Where do you think you are?
There are ‘top hearthstone streamers’?
Alright, then.
No. That would be too boring to do.
just watch shaddybunny or dogdog, their “luck” is insane. 100% sure blizzard somehow tweak it.
Imagine being a tin-foiled hat and expecting others to do your dirty work of proving a conspiracy theory
You’re not even man enough to do it yourself
Disgusting behavior
Of course they do. It’s super obvious.Altair lol relax bud. Lolollololo you really care? Lol
Ofc I don’t
I had a grudge with you and had to repay the favor
Who’s a top BG streamer? I’d like to watch to see if these guys get the same crap luck I do. See if 5 of their triples in a row are all crap.
I don’t have a grudge with you. I don’t even know who you are, but it’s just a game relax. Lol
To be fair, asking others to test your theory without biased input from any additional sources is essentially how science works.
Shadybunny probably has the best luck I’ve ever seen, he’s also incredibly good at what he does and usually entertaining enough to enjoy, while also explaining what he’s doing and why he’s doing it.
That’s why I said I turned down the volume. It’s a distraction look at nothing but the cards he gets and when he gets them. I’m a retired analyst. I got paid eight hours a day to watch patterns. This is an extremely lazy algorithm. I don’t even play the game to win. I played it for the patterns and I think to myself I can’t be the only person that sees this so I talk about it on the forums. I am starting to think we are in the world of NPC‘s. right now I’m in the process of AFK and the battleground and I haven’t disconnected once this is my third game I disconnect twice per game when I’m actually participating.
Look, sir, I know this can be interpreted as a sign of disrespect towards your age or profession, but it’s actually kinda just the opposite
When you were at your peak productivity, weren’t you aware of all the biases and logical fallacies? Did you know about:
a) Confirmation bias, which primes us to seek and remember confirming evidence more easily than disproving;
b) Representative bias, which primes us towards the most frequently and most easily recollected cases/examples of some phenomenom which don’t neccessarily represent our sample well enough;
c) Recency bias, which primes us toward those recollections that we have most recently experienced/discovered;
d) Negativity bias, which primes us to notice and remember negative examples more easily, because our survival depends on it;
e) Hot hand fallacy, which makes us believe we’re “hot” and can’t lose or vice versa;
- a whole bunch of other biases, logical fallacies and statistical theories
- apparently, a Dunning-Kruger, and a severe case of it, by the looks of it.
Sir, with all due respect, but either you were pretty bad at your job or you have a serious case of dementia :-S
Frontotemporal one, judging by the fact that your highest cognitive skills which were learned among the last, were the first ones to go
Jeef ,XQN,Beterbabbit (The 3 best BG players in the World)
Asmodai
Zorgo
Shadybunny
RDU
Dog
Multiple Chinese and APAC streamers if you live in that region.
There’s several others but that’s who i could think of off the top of my head.
This guy has to work for blizzard. He cares entirely too much. I’m trolling you dude i was never an analyst. I just like to get y’all going.Lol
If you don’t understand the choices they are making though you aren’t seeing the whole picture.
There are so many factors that go into their decisions at any given time and even if I am aware of every single one of those factors (I assure you I am not) I don’t have anywhere near the experience required to make the decisions as quickly as they do.
I don’t know how much BGs you play, but I guarantee it’s nowhere near as much as the top streamers. The gap of experience between us and them is enormous. In a regular Hearthstone game this gap could be rendered insignificant due to a small amount of rng events (e.g. card draw). After all, if they can only make one or two (or maybe zero) choices a turn they can only outplay you by so much. The amount of relevant information at any given time in a short match is very small as well.
BGs on the other hand have a much higher learning curve. Add in the fact that you could play for days without seeing the same hero/minion pool combination available to you again and you start seeing why experience matters so much (at least at their ranks).
Luck is absolutely still a factor, but I cringe a bit when people say they lose solely because of it. We could ignore the fact that we could always improve by playing a little bit quicker (which is insanely important IMO), but everyone on here is easily still making a dozen(s) mistakes every game and any one of them could have enabled their defeat.
Well, you can’t do that on this forum, it’s way too cruel
You know what crap people here are inclined to believe xD
Like you said, luck is an absolute factor. So, of course you can lose just because of it. When all your triples yield you junk, and the tavern won’t give you any of the “good” minions. I’ve got 5660 hours playing. How many hours do streamers have?
What’s funny to me is this idealism that luck evens itself out over time. What’s lucky in one situation, isn’t lucky for another. Pulling that tier 6 minion of the tribe you’ve built up is lucky. Pulling the same guy while you’re playing a different tribe is not. And there is no force trying to balance it out. Unlike flipping a coin which is a statistical 50/50 chance that will balance out over time. There are too many factors in BG to simply balance out.
