For sure, you can lose just because of luck. An easy example is if someone loses a coin flip to go first on the last round (maybe even multiple times in a row) and dies because of it. Winner determined by luck.
At least that’s what the loser will take away from it. Will they reflect on what they could have done better? Choices that could have avoided the coin flip to begin with? I doubt it, just unlucky after all.
You compete against 7 other players, all of whom have the opportunity to steal/block the cards you want. The faster you play (preferably with little to no mistakes) the better chances you have to find what you need**.
Again, I’m not saying luck isn’t a factor because it clearly is. Early game luck matters too. A extra point here and there from a coin flip could still matter. A lot of the top streamers will talk through there choices and frequently note the mistakes they make (big and little). There are lots of things people don’t do to minimize these things.
**I imagine this is mostly true, especially the more you level up. That being said, the minion pool is quite large and there are probably tons of times that even though all the copies of the minions you want are available you were still unlucky to not find them. What percent of the time this happens I have no idea, but with how quickly 7 other people could be rerolling and blocking your copies I think it’s still much better to play quickly to have access to what you want first.

Yeah, you better delete it, whatever it was
I guess you finally learned to read
There’s truly hope for everybody
oh yeah, efficiency is a key factor and many people might missed the most efficient plays. I’m one of those guys that races up tiers as quick as possible to have the best chance at getting the good minions. But, sometimes you race up to a tier and the tavern gives you nothing to reward your efforts. And, unlike a coin toss, there are too many factors involved to say the lucks balances itself out over time. There have been soo many times that I’m using a tribe and the tavern keeps giving me the good minions of another tribe. You refresh past the first one because it’s not worth changing up your whole lineup for, then the tavern gives you more and more. Some could argue this is the luck balancing itself out, even though it’s not benefitting you.

and i dont think its just about how many triples they get, try to compare the warband they fighting vs the ones u face at the same turn… u will notice that these top “streamers” always face really weak opponents, allowing them to survive even when their warband is super lame. and then they start scale(of course by finding all the puzzle pieces pretty easily) and win…how is it possible that they are at like 12k mmr, and the opponents they facing are so weak compared to the ones u face at 5-6 k mmr>? its just another way for blizzard to boost these streamers cuz no one would have watched them if their mmr was low…
If you have that many hours playing BG’s why are you complaining? I mean why are you still playing if you despise the mode this much?
Your RATING is NOT your MMR. So seeing players play in lobbies with other players that have lower rating means absolutely nothing. They are being paired by their hidden MMR.
No they don’t. That’s just your own confirmation bias.

stop with that confimrmation bias crap. thats the only answer u can give, i didnt say that it happens sometimes, it always happens,. watch every match they play and u will see that they fight really weak opponents. streamers are BOOSTED by blizzard, thats a fact honey.

Your repeated displays of unstable and toxic behavior are amazing. I really hope you can get the help you need IRL. This really is not the way to live.
Question for you is there anything wrong with hardstone battlegrounds in your opinion or is it a perfect game with no flaws or errors?
Of course it is, how could you possibly doubt that?
Ridiculous! Conspiracy theory! Yu heff cOgNiTive BiAs!!!111
Oh it’s got lots of issues especially this season. The biggest being the absolute garbage minion pool we currently have. I’m not a fan of anomalies either and especially not with trinkets at the same time. Far too many ways to just high roll into a massive comp very early in a lobby.

Right. The game is not rigged, it is just terrible to play right now.
I tried to play some yesterday and just quit because it was terrible.

Ah, one of those cases where even if the game were not rigged, you wish it were (call me a regular Voltaire if you will… By the way, I wrote it somewhere, so it’s not new, either, but can’t readily find it, so no matter) — it would be less of a shame than just how outright terrible it is.
I played the game today and I realized it’s harder for the algorithm to keep you at 6000 then it is to let you high roll to 13,000 lol.
That’s because there is no algorithm. You stay at 6000 because 6000 is where you belong.

I was saying in general bud.
I haven’t watched any streamers since APXVoid was a thing.
OR there is a second algorithm. The first rigs the games against you while the second rigs them for you.
Think about it
i can’t think about that. I’m off my meds.
Minions are limited in the pool - don’t remember exact numbers. If you and others took up all the minions then none of you will ever see any more of those until someone dies (or sells) and their minions go back in the pool.
