Amazon Coins are being discontinued

For many years, using Amazon Coins to purchase Hearthstone packs and cosmetics was a way to save some money (on an Android device). You just had to download Hearthstone from the Amazon Appstore instead from Google Play.

At one point, the discount was up to 25% off (if you bought the 50,000 coins package) but that discount has been slowly eroded over the years.

Now, they are discontinuing Amazon Coins, and the Amazon Appstore for Android within 6 months:

This was the last bastion of slight savings on Hearthstone purchases, and now that’s being taken away :disappointed_relieved:

Did you buy Amazon coins for your in-game purchases? I certainly bought a decent amount of 50,000 and 10,000 coin packages over the years.

I did not use this but I have heard of it and feel bad that a way of getting cheaper cards will be gone for those who did use it.

I was about to buy another 50,000 package the other day because I’m almost out of coins but I am guess I am glad I didn’t because I would have to use it within 6 months. It usually takes me 4 expansions to get through 50,000 coins.
