Advice on Improving My Hearthstone Ladder Climb

Hey Hearthstone heroes!

I have been chilling in the tavern for a couple years now, but it’s time to step up my game and climb that ladder! Currently stuck in Silver 5, and let’s just say I’m hungry for some higher ranks.

Anyone got tips for honing my skills and building killer decks?

Here’s what I’m wrestling with:

Climbing Strategies: What are some winning tactics to climb the ladder without getting crushed?
Deck Doctor Needed: Any strong decks out there that are perfect for beginners aiming for higher ranks?
Beating the Blues: How do you all handle those brutal matchups and stay pumped after a losing streak?
Resource Roundup: Any tricks for managing dust and gold more effectively in-game?
Hit me with your best advice, folks! Super eager to hear your experiences and climb those ranks together.

Thanks a bunch! :innocent:

First thing I would do is check hsguru and/or the most recent VS report for the top decks and see if I have all or most of the cards for any of them. According to hsguru, Paladin is in a very good spot right now, as are Warlock and Druid, but we have nerfs coming this week, so there’s likely going to be a meta shift following the patch.

That said, if you are silver 10, you should be able to climb a few ranks with almost any meta deck if you commit to it. I would lean toward aggro decks for faster games and for a faster climb. I’d recommend sticking with a single deck for as long as possible while climbing so that you really understand how to play it

If you hit a losing streak, take a break. Playing while tilted will lead to more loses and a worse experience overall

climb the ladder without getting crushed?

lose this mindset. you are going to get crushed often. you need to have a pitcher/goalie mindset. “that loss didn’t happen, I’m the best ever!” seriously you will lose and once you accept it you will not get tilted as often.

if on pc use a deck tracker and review your games. look for better plays you missed because you were on a clock in the heat of battle. you don’t realize the plays you miss if you don’t look for them. also, you may see times you couldn’t have won, regardless of your decisions. that makes it easier to forgive some mistakes you made.

don’t worry about wins and losses. just strive to play the next game better than you played the last. if you can accomplish this you’ll get to legend before you realize it.

good gaming to you.
