A new idea. What do my HS friends think?

How about a card that negates what are now permanent things like 2 times battle cries and double / triple /quadruple the health and attack of cards.
Or even things that reduce the cost of spells.

A card that will undue these attributes. It could simply be called, Loque’nahak the spirit beast.
Getting the card would be extremely rare. More than legendary.

I will ask blizzard to make this card if people like the idea.

Also, a new system could be added where one player can set traps to capture another player’s rare spirit beasts.

Bro go play Yu-gi-oh see what big brain negate everything cards combo on turn 1 gets you.

As your friend i have to say this thread was longer than i thought so i may read it later today

Thank you, Mark. I think many people have opinions on how this will work.

Card Concept: Loque’nahak the Spirit Beast

Type: Beast
Rarity: Mythical (rarer than Legendary)
Mana Cost: 9
Battlecry: Negate all active permanent effects on minions (e.g., double Battlecries, quadrupled health and attack, etc.)
Stats: 8/8

Detailed Abilities:

  1. Permanent Effects Negation: Upon playing Loque’nahak, all ongoing effects on the board are nullified. This includes any buffs or debuffs that have been applied to minions as a result of other card abilities.
  2. Spell Cost Reversion: For the rest of the turn, spells cost their original mana values, reversing any cost reductions.
  3. Single Use per Game: Given its power, each deck can only include one Loque’nahak card, making its timing and strategic use crucial.

Strategic Impact:

Meta-Balancing: By including such a card, it introduces an element of unpredictability and strategy. Players will need to carefully consider how they build their decks and anticipate opponents’ potential counters.
Gameplay Dynamics: The potential negation of powerful combos will make games more dynamic and encourage diverse deck-building strategies.
Rarity and Value: Making Loque’nahak extremely rare adds an exciting chase element for players, increasing the card’s value and desirability.

The idea of adding cards rarer than legendary is horrible. Especially for f2p. But it’s horrible in general. I think there should be counters to everything. But those counters need to be affordable, or they are alienating players.

Great card concept, these kind of negate mechanics are extremely rare and are necessary in today’s hs.

But what’s with the whole new rarity category? As if the game isn’t enough p2w lol.

This is the epitome of hypocrisy, for someone always whining about “I WIN” cards, you want a card made that very nearly is literally an I WIN card.

Some permanent effects like double battlecries are far too easy to get nowadays so i wouldnt mind a way to deal with those.

However i dont think the card should be a super rare legendary. It should be a new keyword called negate. However only active while the minion is alive. similair to ones that change your card of spell costs. So permanent effects get disrupted , however the minions can be dealt with

You could have low cost squishy ones and some harder to kill. But the negating shouldnt be permanent. Its there to disrupt and force the enemy to play a card to deal with it instead of endlessly going on with double battlecries every turn.

you could have some 2/2 one but also an expensive legendary with reborn and divine shield. but it shouldnt be a permanent battlecry, that would just invalidate quite alot of decks based on it

Yes, this would not be a bad idea either. Having several cards of different vulnerability.
