And they only play the super aggro 1 cost minion deck or murloc paladin. When is it enough?
This is by far by faaaaaaar the WORST meta ever. This game will truly die if they let stuff like this go on for too long, and i’ll say good riddance.

And do you know why are 80% of your matches against paladins?
I’ll give you a hint. It is connected with the following:
Try to use brain cells and think about your moves before playing cards and paladins will disappear… maybe. Or maybe you should choose another game.
Your MMR level is the paladin spam one.
At my mmr, I get spammed with Quest Lock, Control Warrior, Blood DK (eww), Quest Mage, & Fyrakk Rogue
I get the occasional Protoss Mage, Owl Druid, and once in 10 blue moons an Aggro DH.
I personally, only heavily dislike Blood DK, because of the leech package. Quest Lock sometimes highrolls, sometimes they are stuck completing the quest till turn 7.
I have faced like 3 egg locks in standard, in Wild Khelos decks are more common.
Because only these are viable strategies for Paladin… ofc you can’t see anyting else…
You’ll see lots of paladins of whatever flavor, though mostly fish boys, because it’s an easy to play and aggressive deck. All fishies go face. You’ll see fewer of them as you rank up and simply smashing face isn’t enough to win games. It is rather boring facing so many murlocs that tend to add more murlocs to your hands, summon more murlocs, deathrattle into more murlocs, or give your other murlocs the superpower of summoning even more murlocs into the paladin’s warm embrace. The heck did the association between paladins and murlocs come from anyways? Used to be murloc was a shaman thing.
Sure paladin got 2 decks to use ok fine, but should that mean that most of my games should only be against these 2 decks?
Just come back after 2 years away and I’ve got a 100% WR against Paladins.
I’ve been spamming protoss mage myself it feels really good and i thought i was the only person in north america playing it but i do run into some too
OP is exadgerating it’s not 80% of paladins but ngl this “Murloc Paladin MMR” is becoming a widespread myth. Murloc paladin isn’t some meme weak deck it’s very common at all ranks and MMRs on ladder right now.
If the MM see you have a hard time against them, then yes… it is doing the same with everyone. Try to put you against classes which are hard for you to defeat when it wants you to lose. As Paladin I get many times Mages, DK’s, Priest for example because the MM knows those decks can overvalue me too easily… I know what my deck can do and just concede against them when see they cleared the board 3 times. After that I have really low chance to win. Because thats how stupid aggro works… I always hated to play aggro but that is the only working strategy for Paladin at the moment so don’t have other choice since I play Paladin only. However I built my own Menagerie Aggro deck, not using meta.
It’s really not all that common at high ranks. I see it maybe once in 20 games, and that’s been pretty consistent for the last 2 months.
I’m just being honest, this is a complete myth, it’s nearly the most popular deck at all ranks including diamond 1. It’s clearly not a bad deck. It clearly is getting plenty of players to legend. Idk what to tell people who keep thinking this. Look up the stats if you don’t believe me.
https://www.hsguru.com/meta?format=2&min_games=250&rank=top_5k
Top 5k ranks, quest paladin at a 45% (inflated) win rate and a .4% play rate.
It’s not a myth. The deck is just not that strong. It stomps low ranks and then just fizzles out.
I don’t think most people are talking about top 5k legend. Hearthstone has hundreds of thousands of players (supposedly)
Across all matches at all ranks in the game combined, it was the most popular deck in the game (on average) until totally broken quest warlock replaced it. Even in diamond 1 it’s still the 5th most popular, and I also think it’s a stronger deck than most people are saying. It’s just the fact it’s piloted by drooling noobs which deflates it’s winrate stats.
I don’t think most people on these forumns getting tilted (rightfully) about the stale and gross grind vs murloc paladin all day, are top 5k legend but maybe I’m wrong
I mean, sure…
But I specifically said that at high ranks, the deck is rare and not good. That’s not a myth.
It’s good at stomping the average player. It has a very real ceiling on how high you can climb with it though.
You’ve been beating this drum for a long time and at the end of the day all you’re saying is “git gud nub”
Just because someone is sick and tired of seeing a certain deck doesn’t mean they can’t beat it. Sometimes it just means they’re tired of a boring stale meta dominated by three maybe four decks which require very little skill to pilot
I don’t see murloc paladin very often but when I do it irritates me. Ask yourself this question, when was the last time you saw a murloc paladin player Mulligan? Aggro paladin irritates me because you might as well just be flipping a coin at this point. When a game is effectively over after only three turns, what are we even queuing for?
In conclusion, stop using straw men. Let people vent about their frustrations with the meta on the forums that are here for that purpose. By the way, you’re outnumbered on this issue as has been demonstrated in dozens of posts at this point
We need a game mode from the expansion period whispers of the old gods i think that was the best type with midrange existing.
Without aggro decks the game is going to turn into “is my deck the greediest one of them all”.
If 80% of your matches are against paladins and they’re winning against you… you are extremely low mmr. Try researching decent decks that work well at your skill level.
