since this patch came out, the free reroll that battlepass players paid for no longer works. also, the rope animation needs to be removed from battlegrounds cause it is causing a distortion in people’s headsets.
No. Boreas is right in that the deck is just bad without those tools because it has nothing great for end-game without them (it’s similar to the libram pala of 2024 which looked great early game but had nothing good end-game).
You two had a misunderstanding because Boreas is strictly speaking about after rotation and you were talking initially about today’s meta (which is true in today’s meta it’s OP).
Artanis still should have been bumped to 8 as well, getting 2 3/4 minions with charge by turn 4-5 isn’t exactly weak

Let Protoss build “variable” stalkers and the “units” similar to starships and you got a deal!
The Templar are not the same thing as a starship. I can’t pull a starship out of your hand. You also get to revive the starship. In fact, there’s a lot of things you can do with the ship in general. The starship even protects you early on board and you can decide whether you make small ones or big ones.
For bug girl, she just does a lot of burst damage quickly at the end. You gotta really stick with your bugs and ride it out. But it is quite a lot of hero power damage in addition to the minions, which do additional damage based on combination attacks.
The Protoss card suite is flexible and can be very potent, but requires other non-SC cards in order to be successful. The units and cards can also stand alone and be used in smaller pieces than the other two factions.
In general, it’s also harder to play Artanis early compared to the other two. Kerrigan most of the time cost “6” mana as you pulled her with nydus worm. Now at 8 mana she is still basically “7”.
For Jim a double ship launch was a lot of action on turn 7. The starship pieces have changed, but still have power. They’re effectiveness will be more dependent on the deck using them and the type of ship(s) you’re building. Compared to the ships being so powerful all you wanna do is build them up fast and play Jim ASAP. With the intention of either playing a hydration station or a siege tank.
You are not doing a combo immediately after playing Artanis. The pressure before Artanis is rather moderate. The number of cards required outside of the SC mini set restrict Protoss deck builds. The Protoss cards by themselves, are not very good or strong in isolation.
