Saruun makes this extra crazy too. 4 mana for something that EASILY does huge damage?
Make it legendary so it isn’t as easy to play 2 of them? Increase mana cost?

I just faced two Saruun mages back to back, different opponents. I was Dia-5 and running Odyn Warrior.
I won both, though it was a LOT closer in each game than the end result would have you believe. Both games went with the mages going into fatigue while I had like 4 cards left, and I think if you calc’d up the raw total damage they did to face, it would easily be over 100 each game. FACE. Not even counting the stuff they did to target my minions.
Both games I had gotten down to single digit life totals, but there’s just SO much armor gen in the Odyn deck, and SO many board clears. They couldn’t quite seal the deal at any given point, and they both played very well (at least in my opinion). For my part, I had to be very judicious in my board clears, pay extra attention to when exactly I needed to gen armor and how.
It was, as I said, WAY closer than it looked by the final turn.
Make of that what you will. Odyn War is Tier 2 according to HSreplay, while Saruun (technically it’s just Ele Mage really) is Tier 1, and Odyn War’s averaging around a 60% win rate against that deck. It definitely felt closer than that, though maybe I was making mistakes or just got unlucky with draws.
