21.3 Patch Notes

Mage could get a 4 mana Arcane spell that reads “deal 1 damage to a random enemy” and folks would lose their minds over “Spell Mage buff OF COURSE!!”

Yet again they NERF priest and offer no buffs to generate new architypes. Quest priest still isn’t viable and all we have is shadow priest. Bunch O BS again.

Totaly broken it can go face and scale of spell damage , whens the next Mage nerfs ???

Doesnt feel right to talk about the class and not bring up some nerfs, i think Mages shoudnt get a coin when going 2nd over the spell synergys totaly unfair…

Well this is highly questionable. I played shaman a lot first few weeks of the expansion and many times I was waiting for 1-2-3 turns to get the last overload piece.

Shaman can finish the quest turn 5-6, if he is really lucky (usually notetaker into good guidances), 7-8 (if he doesnt get this “combo”), but usually it is turn 7-9 he finishes the quest. Now it can get 1-2-3 turns later with bad draws.

Well I quite like these changes, hero power Mage looks much better, the Wildfire on T1 dream is alive and Mordresh on T8 looks very strong, maybe using fire spells and Antonidas?
Also hoping beast hunter can be a thing, although not convinced yet, leatherworking kit still looks very slow to me ( compared to pally and jewel kit).
I predict the buffs to pirate warrior will make it tier 2, good.

Glad to see Warlock and DH getting hit, these decks are painful to play vs, although I don’t think they’ll vanish.

Illucia might as well have been deleted which should reduce the power of aggro priest, good.

The nerf to Shaman is pretty hefty, one extra OL card needed is a big deal, you are often topdecking for that final card, this could delay Questline completion couple of turns.

Going to try and build beast hunter and heropower/ fire Mage, looking forward to the changes going live.

Oh wildfire to 1 yay. The buff i was hoping for.
Not sure it will be enough, another hp related card would help as well but this will be nice to try out and make it work.

Mages complaining about everything… How surprising.

I like the buffs, I would like to see more cards for HP mage, BUT I think that the quest mage should have received nerf. Next to shaman and warlock it is the third oppressive class that is ultra oppresive.

Now, that Demon Seed is banned from wild at least, prepare to face my mighty Tickatus again! I will be back, warping the meta and milling you all to fatigue while also disrupting your game plans! Fear me! Muhahahhaaha!

Also, I would propose that Demon Seed is banned from standard as well. It is still broken there.

The tier 3 with It’s good matchups getting nerfs and appearing less should be extra nerf Just to be sure It not even shows on next report…

again - I would love to see more buffs to HP mage. I would like to see fire mage. I am bored of this solitaire deck.

Looking at the thread Theorycrafting: Hero Power Mage in Standard in the forums here the Mordresh Fire Eye card mana drop makes a lot more sense now.

Until you learn pings are also infinite damage.

Seriously. People are Just clueless nowadays.

Yes this is true.
The tollerance of mage players is very high, bar a few (one) exceptions lol.

I dont mind if blizzard corners mage into spells, because playing spells is exactly what i want to do as a mage.

Let’s keep our hopes up. I am optimistic the miniset will provide us with even more HP support. It seems like the direction they’re going. And all I can say is finally.

@Mallenroh it makes me happy that you’re happy! I can’t wait to try and build an HP / Questline Mage with you guys.

That’s true but it’s not infinite and exponential. That’s a big difference.

My 1/1 is infinite damage if left alone. Right? /S

2 nerfs to shaman, that’s what I like to see.

Keep them coming.

Ping 3-4 damage per turn for 2 mana compared to +3 spell damage, infinite “fireballs” and being able to deal 30+ damage in turn.

Seriously, mages are just clueless nowadays.

agreed, dont know how we tolerate so much bs from mages…

Gonna give a brief prediction on what gonna happen.

Ping mage Will Just fail.

But without seedlock and with a slower Shaman questline mage Will be able to run a bit slower build focused more on ant aggro with shooting stars , fire sale and others.

That could maybe depolarize the deck and return It to it’s tier 3 status.
