Bobby Kotik left, the company shows its true face
I donāt know, I think they listened.
Oh dang. I forgot to ask you to be on my PhD committee. My mistake.
Guess I gotta write my former advisor and let her know that I and other scientists need to get Scr0tieMcBās approval on what weāre doing. Iāll go ahead and put my degree in the shredder while I wait for this.

Get over yourself, dude. The age of Isaac Newton ended decades ago. Ā«Modern PhysicsĀ» is literally a second- or third-year undergraduate course, thatās how fundamental it is these days. There are reasons why we differentiate between Ā«ClassicalĀ» and Ā«QuantumĀ» Mechanics.
How absolutely full of yourself do you have to be to make a statement like the quote above? Itās mind-boggling.
Right now there is a chance that the opponent forgets to silence youā¦
You would break the fun to the people that spend the whole game pretending to be silent, and before the final blow throws the emotes, hoping that the opponent doesnāt have it silencedā¦
You donāt have to break that magicā¦
You donāt seem to understand how the emote system works. You have no idea if your opponent squelched you. When you emote, you donāt know if your opponent sees it or not. Nothing changes if the squelch is a toggle as opposed to having to re-activate every signle match.
Iāve spent money for every update since 2014 and missed a barely dozen daily or weekly quests over the period.
I did not make it for last weeks quests, not enough time and insane goals, well looks like Blizzards wants itās little whales to spend even more time in the game and of course spend more money, like always.
I like the game and Iām not reasonable when it get to collection completion, Iāve spent a lot over the years but that expansion cut the rope Iām not in the boat anymore if I have to spent hours in the game to get my daily or weekly rewards.
So thatās it Iām sick of this global policy they wont get my money three times a year like they ever did, well done Blizzard (again ā¦) Anyway they donāt read their forums, my message wonāt change anything but that was my last word about this game.
They are so greedy they just want more and more, thatās so sad.
So I guess it answers the question, I spend money and what I am going to do is keeping it for for something else (about 200ā¬/year), for sure Blizzard wonāt see my money ever again.
simply say:
- openly mock every idiot stupid enough to fuel the blizzard via money
- stop buying garbo pass
- play less if not quit all together (i play since beta, might be too deep)
- leave the game HONEST review whenever you can
- reset quests a lot
Whats funny: BOTS are openly on ranked PvP standard with quite solid decks
they get +20% for no additional cost xD, but you suffer
what the heck is that idea?
should we all get auto-play bots to match this?
who even design quests changes like this? did bobby did something to you before he left?
he must have honored company tradition at this point
I understood that, but we are precisely counting on the fact that sooner or later those people will forget to manually mute and will receive the emote whether they like it or not, with the change that you propose you would end that, donāt tell me nothing changesā¦
Lol, I support the F2P movement and all that, but what you propose already crosses the line of stupidity, you donāt bite the hand that gives you foodā¦
your suggestions make zero sense and arent exactly well thought
mock players who allow us to keep playing for free ?
quit having fun?(not playing)
reseting the quests instead of completing them?(im not going to reset spend 750 mana quest after spending 90 mana in a single game as HL warrior that would be dumb )
I agree I hope this is reverted its pretty messed up
I know Blizzard will probably claim to be wanting to encourage people to spend more time on Hearthstone, but many of us already struggled to find the desire to even do the old quests. Being forced to trudge through these game modes that many do not even enjoy for a marginally better reward is not how they should go about it. 10 ranked wins may not sound like much, but running into 5 long Warrior games in a row quickly gets old. They need to revert these changes. Must suck to be a fully free to play player that relies on quests to generate currency for packs.
You still never know whether they saw the emote. So again, nothing changes from your perspective.
Exactly what is it that you are enjoying? Are you just imagining that your opponent saw the emote even if they had wanted to squelch it? And for some reason that gives you pleasure? Thatās gross. At best, itās schadenfreude, but it sounds in this case, more like sadism.
It was just an example but anyway, no matter how bad you want to make me look, or trivialize the issue,
its fair that you have to make an extra effort for not interact in each game because that shouldnt be normalā¦
Blizzard, these greedy merchants, are really disgusting. I donāt have time to complete such long weekly tasks. Iām done playing; Iām quitting. There are plenty of fun card games on Steam.
The game is about the cards you play. The emotes are nothing more than decorations. Choosing not to engage in obnoxious emoting is perfectly ānormalā. Forcing other people to listen to you being a jackass is not ānormalā.
nobody is forcing you to listen to emotes
you choose to hear them
If you are not able to accept a funny comment about your plays
maybe card games arenāt your thing
Imagine that all of the users on the forum get together to play some in-person games of magic, no one would want to play with someone you canāt even smile,
when youāre winning, for fear that you will call them ājackassā and end up throwing the board like the video of the fat nerd playing yu gi oh, yes, very normal according to youā¦
I like this. Havenāt completed any of them lately unless through BGs.
Dude literally said heās waiting to the time when the opponent forgets to squelch so he can spam emotes at them at the end of the game. And specifically wants the squelch feature removed.
I squelch them at the start of every match. But itās a tedious task and easily improved by simply making it a toggle so it maintains its state at the end of the match. It has no other impact on other players whatsoever.
I have no interest in your comments about my play.
Thatās not what you saidā¦ you were talking about throwing emotes at your opponent. Thatās obnoxious behavior that I prefer not to see. So I squelch every match. Youāre proposing that I should be forced to endure them.
The injustice! The horror! What abject crueltyā¦
