- Once these changes are live, players will be able to disenchant the adjusted cards for their full Arcane Dust value for two weeks.

Great changes to battlegrounds. It was getting ridiculous with Brann creating unkillable minions (unless you had poison). Amalgam removal is good for the game too, as it became virtually required to get a win. On the flip side, Curator is now #1 hero
I’ve played quite a bit today after changes. It’s like the mogu and elementalist changes are almost like buffs cause now they get free 10 cost units with 0 cost mutate. Face hunter is outrageous atm. rogue is manageable only if you have a silence or a way to neutralize the deathrattles, but if you do that you lose to every hunter cause your deck is too slow. The problem with shamans isn’t that they out tempo you, it’s that they can constantly clear your board with rush minions, or double battle cries, then the massive tempo swing with their galagrond which is way easier to activate than any other class, especially with double battle cry. The only thing that stands a chance is smork hunter and they do ridiculous damage to everyone. I was waiting for patch notes to give it a chance, but nothing really has changed. hunters play only the phase hunter, secrets, quest, and weapon and they win game.
I would like to say the changes to battle grounds are nice tho.
“Nerfs” did nothing, expect shamanstone until next expansion while this inept design team flounder around making pointless videos with their purple hair.
Kurt, why don’t I see this post in the blizzard tracker
nurf sucks, it was the only deck I liked and you killed it. hope you get rocks for christmas.
I love the way everyone thought the nerfs were not enough and gally shaman has significantly dropped in the ladder the past few days… now all we can see if dr rouge… lifesteal for 10 coming out for only 2 mana with over 10hp on turn 5 is ridiculous as is 7 7 bores with charge for only 1 mana
I have no idea why they nerfed mogu… mogu is nothing compared to this… it was only ever a problem with evolve… it makes no sense being at 9!!! Especially when a sea giant is at 10!! They should of nerfed dragon pack and made it a +2 +2 pretty simple…
Removed Amalgam (but not poison or poison eveolvers); so murlocs now are O.P.
So, you remove Brann, yet make Jarraxus stronger (by adding watcher card).
Milificent is now worthless, because she could have, at least add some stamina to her initial mechs.
Patchwerk is kinda worthless, too (with the hit he took).
Elise would be nice, if the random cards she got didn’t cost 3 gold.
ARE YOU SERIOUS WITH THESE “NERFS”?
You really think these “nerfs” will do anything but tickle?
i dont even wanna continue couse ima get banned,
lets just keep it simple: “Blizzard i expected better of you”
People are more creative in wild untill you reach rank 6 and higher, then everyone’s running magnetic bullsh@t xD
This should be a bug, golden versions always get disenchanted for the worth of crafting that golden card when they are changed. This is clearly not the meaning, i’ve dusted goldens when they were edited often and always got dust worth the golden version
So, I have been playing Hearthstone for some years. And yes, I do pay for some of my packs.
I am far from a “professional player” nor do I claim to be good at this game. I am average. I always come back to these forums to lurk and read the rage that a lot of people have when it seems to them that the game is “rigged”. At the end of the day, I do get frustrated when the “loss” does not seem to end or the RNG does not seem random at all or perhaps it is consistently “random against me”.
I tried to figure out why it seems that way and realized from reading other posts and Blizzard’s posts that the “Balance Updates” are a bit misleading.
Now certainly, I am not a “game theory” expert. But it would seem to me, that having a “goal” of the game as having a win-lose ratio as close to 50% as possible is not exactly productive when it comes to a “strategy game”. So having a major factor in the RNG or the card designs to have players have as close to a 50-50 ratio, in my opinion would be a fundamentally flawed way of balancing the game.
So while it is true that “balance updates” are needed, I think the criterion of disadvantaging players solely because they are doing “too well” with the RNG is an inherently flawed way of balancing the game. Instead, tweak the cards, perhaps raise the deck size, release a larger set for expansions so that more strategies can come up, decrease the cards that have the keyword “random” in them.
This is obviously a post mostly for the main game, not battlegrounds. Battlegrounds by its nature is heavy on the RNG, which makes it a bit more forgivable. But again, there is something fundamentally wrong when you can lose or gain 1000 rank points in one session.
In the end, I remind myself that it is a game and win or lose, I’m just trying to have fun. Happy New Year everyone!
I believe this is my first post… so please be gentle with the aggro replies.
