Why am I getting so little for wins/first places? Like the title says, I just got 104 rating for 1st place at 3700 rating. Can someone please explain? I see everyone is getting 300+
what was your previous rating (before the reset)?
For what I understood, you get up to 300 point per win, but this number isn’t for everyone but only for those with a high intern MMR; the more you climb, the less points you will get
You get a boost to your rating gains as long as your public Rating is noticably below your hidden/internal MMR.
my rating before reset was 5.5k. Any idea how to fix my issue?
You should probably read this article
I think we have to hit 6500 rating than we can get the full 300.
Mine is 100+ per win at 4600+ rating
It seemed to stop being 300 for me as well around 4000 or so. I think it’s intended? Not sure.
I think you get 300 only at the start, as a bonus. Then it’s all normal like before (so +100 is ok).
But…
, if your external rating is below 6500, we will give you a very small value of positive rating gain, on top of your “actual” rating change
Note that this number is so small that you won’t even feel it unless you play many games.
So I am not actually sure if +100 is supposed to be the “normal max” and 300 the “max when you start”; I don’t play the mode so I can’t really compare my old experience with the new ones to give you feedback
It’s pretty simple, if your rating is below your internal rating you’ll get 300 rating per win, if it is above your internal rating it will be 100-130ish. Your internal rating is not how you finished before the patch.
This is the same system as they use for Overwatch and it is completely awful. The best thing you can do is start over with a new account or grind it out.
I thought I would try it out again after quitting to see where I was at and it was fun getting 300 for every 1st thru 4th win, but once I reached 2000 rating, my rating per win is 104 and 4th is 19. So even if you improve, your internal rating will keep you down and you’ll have to grind really hard to get wins even though you’re better than the system thinks.
It’s whatever.
Same ole Blizzard; Different game.
the role queue reset in overwatch showed that the mmr system is fairly accurate with only minor difference when players could focus on their main role. players just dont want to accept that they arent as good as they think they are
Whatever, role queue was garbage too. Completely stopped playing after role queue, the game was created “play whatever hero you want” but they ruined that.
