pot calling kettle black?
You need glasses old man
Even with my current CR, and crafting 8 perfect CR INF5 set items, when I reach Paragon 700 (most likely tomorrow) my hero will still be 200+ CR below the INF5 dungeon requirement. Is that not a valid complaint, i.e. for the first time in 2.5+ years of playing the game, I won’t be able to do content intended for my paragon level?
Like I said, I doubt they will just leave it that way. Next patch you gonna be farming i5 no problem I bet.
That’s if we get patch notes tomorrow, a patch Wednesday morning (for EU) and it either lowers the INF5 CR requirements, or gives us immediate access to extra CR sources (e.g. extra equipment slots). Even so, as most players will hit Paragon 700 tomorrow, this still means that most players won’t be able to do INF5 dungeons once they reach the paragon at which they should be able to.
This all stems from Blizzard making the INF4 to INF5 step-up in CR be 4500, rather than around 2000 in the other steps.
Not necessarily must be done with a patch. I remember they lowered the CR requirement for Path of Blood without a patch update. It just happened by the time I login the game at morning.
This is not a problem that can be said only like that.
The appropriate level range of difficulty is 200 levels.
For example, INF4 is 600~799, INF5 is 700~899. You can check it by clicking on the minimap. This means that you can get items from 600~799 in INF4.
You can still be able to do content intended for your paragon level.
This is a problem that latecomers always have. They arrive at the appropriate difficulty a little later than old players. Now we became to be in the similar situation as them.
Also, from what I remember, this problem is not the first time.
Now only those who spent money can easily do INF5 at level 700 and INF6 at level 800.
If we had always arrived at the appropriate difficulty a little later for 2.5 years (like a situation where we can’t arrive at INF5 at level 700), we wouldn’t have had this complaint.
We are always quick to arrive at a certain difficulty and are used to it, so to be precise, we are dissatisfied with the change.
However, if everyone is equally hard (if it applies to everyone equally), and if it is not a situation where only certain people have an advantage, I think it is okay.
Everyone experiences the same difficulty situation which Meteorblade or I experience.
If I am weak (put at a disadvantage), others are also weak (put at a disadvantage), and if I am strong (put at an advantage), others are also strong (put at an advantage).
We are dissatisfied because we want to do it faster and more perfectly.
We want to arrive at INF5 as soon as we reach level 700. We want to do pre-farming easily before we reach level 700.
In the case of the number of slots in a set item, even though it is a situation that everyone experiences the same, we are dissatisfied with the number of slots because we want to do it faster and more perfectly. We can choose according to the situation.
If we want 3 slots, there is also an option 213 (2 attributes, 1 magic, 3 slots).
We can be dissatisfied because of the QOL improvement, but on the other hand, that can be not a problem.
It is more fun to get something or choose something and become stronger when we feel a little lacking rather than having everything perfectly equipped
I don’t think they’ll lower the CR criteria or increase the equipment slots that quickly. They usually lower the CR criteria for the lower difficulties after next difficulties(for example, INF7,8,9) are released. They also usually tend to increase equipment slots at major updates every 3 or 6 months. The time of INF5, February is kind of weird.
(addition)
My resonance is 3090, while Meteorblade, yours is 2220.
It’s about 800 difference, which is about 200 in CR.
I think if tomorrow, I replace through the wisps and set items I prepared, I’ll barely meet the INF5 dungeon CR criterion.
It seems to be a correct calculation of yours that it’s about 200 short. I think the problem could be solved if you just raise the resonance a little.
I don’t think this is entirely correct. There was gauntlet that only few whales were even able to clear. Can’t remember which inferno that was, but it happened. When next inferno came out, they lowered the requirements.
I know it’s a gauntlet and not dungeons, but it was content, anyways, I think we’ll be fine when next patch hits.
Currently, I have six Rank 10 2-star gems, one Rank 10 1-star gem, and the 8th I alternate between a Rank 4 (quality 3) BSJ or a Rank 9 Mercy’s Harvest (2-star), with a spare Rank 10 Tear of the Comet (2-star). If I swapped out the 1-star for the Tear, I’d go up 150 resonance and 22 CR. Progressive upgrades of the BSJ would grant 6 CR per stage. Basically, the only way I could obtain 200+ CR from gems would be by spending a large amount of money. I’ve been F2P since Day 1. That’s not something I’m changing.
I’m also completely F2P, but unlike you, I wasn’t interested in 1,2 star gems from the beginning. I only dealt with 5 star.
There are many good ones in 2 star gems. clasp, fang, lament…
Your PVE damage is probably more than mine.
It’s been confirmed on twitter their will be a Feast of the Valenti up date this week. So new bp prob new essences and a bunch I of updates hopefully as we joked earlier. Two days too late for many.
seems like a smart and genuine move to take a week off work because of an arbitrary calender change when you have done nothing but underperform all year and lost massive amounts of players.
For fuscks sake.
Well, I just login and the CR requirement for Inferno 5 is still 45665.
I reached Paragon 700 then did eight Flora Cleansing runs to get some extra INF5 wisps.
After using up all my wisps to craft set items, the result was…
I have 45562 CR…
- That’s 103 CR too low for INF5 open-world.
- That’s 553 CR too low for INF5 dungeons.
At the risk of sounding silly, if none of the four players doing an inf5 dungeon have enough CR to do it, won’t they all die and eventually run out of resurrections unless they all select the last point of logging?? Even then it seems almost silly to do it because if they do not have enough to kill the bosses how are they beating it?
Are you saying they go four onto one? Sorry this is not making a lot of sense unless at least one has enough CR???
That was exactly the point, one of them goes in I1 difficulty, killing everything easily, the others just run, try to avoid being killed and get the loot. Four players, none of them have enough CR for I5 dungeons, but 3 of them are getting I5 loot.
IMO this wouldn’t be so bad if all 4 agree to do it. Problem is, people going in I5 difficulty with barely 45K or less of CR, joining random groups for dungeons, making the other players either:
1 - Carry the parasite. Or
2 - Leave the dungeon (after a minute, to avoid the 5 minutes penalty).
Usually, I’m choosing option 2.
Just today, I used the group finder to get into a normal dungeon. For whatever reasons, it put me in a Challenge dungeon with 3 other players, 2 of them in I5 without enough CR. To make things worse, it happened to be one of those “Jump directly to the boss” dungeons. After a couple of minutes, everyone dead and the boss still was at 300M/340M health… Obviously, I left. Not going to spend half an hour so a couple of leeches get an I5 green they don’t deserve.
When it happens in random I try to request party lead before leaving myself and kick the leecher too so I don’t get any penalties for leaving and can join right away.
There was a change to still receive the 4-man chest even if someone was kicked but they should also provide the unbound gem buff for the full dungeon duration in the same way. And also prevent under-cr players to enter random dungeons on higher difficulties unless they are in a premade party and the leader starts it. This leeching is the worst fking thing especially when under-cr players leech inf5 while others are in inf4 or lower.
Well, I did a lot of content this morning, and I’ve had some nice legendary item upgrades…
I’m now above the INF5 open world requirement.
But still 398 CR below INF5 dungeon requirement.
I’m now pretty much stuck until patch notes / patch on Wednesday because…
The CR of my legendaries…
- Helm (2351)
- Chest (2350)
- Shoulders (2350)
- Legs (2370)
- Primary Main-Hand (2334)
- Primary Off-Hand (2350)
- Secondary Main-Hand (2319)
- Secondary Off-Hand (2351)
That means if I got upgrades to the two main hands, I’d gain 18 + 32 = 50 CR.
The set items…
- Amulet (2290)
- Belt (2350)
- Gloves (2287)
- Boots (2269)
- Left Ring (2272)
- Right Ring (2272)
- Left Bracelet (2273)
- Right Bracelet (2290)
This means, if I had triple/triple 2350 items in all 8 slots, I’d gain another…
60 + 63 + 81 + 78 + 78 + 77 + 60 = 497 CR.
So, with perfect greens and two max main-hands, I’d gain 547 CR, taking me to 46264 CR, i.e. over the INF5 dungeon requirement.
Unfortunately, I can’t farm for those greens, because I can’t do the dungeons where they drop and farming INF4 dungeons for set items, to turn into wisps, to upgrade at a 7:1 ratio, nope, not happening.
I 'm stuck until whatever they do on Wednesday.
Yeah im -26 from ow but I have 100cr in two greens I can wear. See how raids and g1 goes tonight
Knowing my luck, when I do INF4 Gauntlet some time today, the set items will be 2350… but completely the wrong sets. Good luck with yours.
