Whirlwind Affix is not taking affect in Battlegrounds for Female Barb?

In addition to a description of the bug you are reporting, please provide:

Device Type: OnePlus 9 (but also on PC)
Device Model: LE2117
Device Operating System: Android OxygenOS 14.0
Diablo Immortal App Version: 4.0.1

Barbarian, Female model, have 4/4 Whirlwind Magical affix. When I use outside of battlegrounds, I see the full +48% size increase of WW and can fill large areas. When I enter battleground. the affix is taking no effect (even if strifed) as it is the same size as base with 0/4 affix. Compared to other barbarians I see with WW in bg (i have screenshots to compare) they are significantly larger. I have all of the modifiers as well (warband 15% size, paragon Brawler 5% size, Colossus Engine Size, and newest bleed WW with 4/4 affix). I know they are all equipped because it works within the open world or PVE, it’s only when I enter bgs or tower war that it shrinks as if the strife completely ignores the bonuses I have.

Could it be tied to Female vs Male Barb? Or just my char for some reason? Thanks for investigating.

tbh i find mine changes sometimes, also actually getting this with wrath now… bout time!!!

so i decided to Gender swap at the barber to test/confirm. and yeah… it’s a Male vs. Female sprite thing. cuz here’s me as a Male Barb now in BG

thank you. so, is there any planned fix or acknowledgement? i don’t mind staying male for the time being, but not ideal

Unless it’s a major issue, affecting hundreds / thousands of players, it’s unlikely you’ll ever get a response / acknowledgement from Blizzard. You’ve reported it, now you just have to wait and see if they ever fix it.

For future reference…

  • Posts with white text = fellow players
  • Posts with green text = MVPs (Most Valued Players) - there are none for Immortal forums
  • Posts with blue text = Blizzard staff
