During the recent update it seems that unbound gems that are sent via mail to the player are being received as bound. This can be easily seen looking in your stash as you will now have 2 stacks of bound gems and 1 of unbound so they game still recognizes the difference but forgets to mark as such.

This bug is more complicated than it seems. The bound gems that drop from that bug show up as unbound when trying to socket them, or when upgrading them at the gem vendor. However they don’t show up as sellable on the market. It’s like there’s a 3rd type of normal gems that behave differently than bound/unbound.

Same problem. I’ll add that if you upgrade the broken bound gems they become unbound again. But nobody buys upgraded unbound normal gems. So please fix this Blizzard.
Maybe the timing is just coincidence when I triggered the buff, but I was thinking it’s not the mail that caused it, but it’s the bonus gems from Winds of Fortune?
