I have the same problem with ipad. 2 different toons. each has 2 slot wrist being worn which did not upgrade. one toon has multiple items in stash that did not upgrade, including belts. repaired client to no avail

From the latest Patch Notes we have the following…
All Exceptional Set Items now drop with the maximum number of sockets. This means that your Set items with 3 Attributes and 2 or 3 Magic Affixes will always have 3 sockets!
For the set items you already own, they’ll be retroactively updated to the maximum amount.
Exceptional set items with 3 attributes and 2 or 3 magic affixes are guaranteed to have 3 sockets.
Exceptional set items with 2 attributes can have, but are not guaranteed to have, 3 sockets.
So, how many attributes were on your items?
checked them all and you are correct. Even if some of them are upgrades, they only have 2 attributes. I guess I need to pay more attention to the fine print.
It would also be helpful and less confusing, if they changed the text of the pop up, when identifying or crafting greens.
If I remember correctly, it’s always “Exceptional Item” for 2/2, 3/2 or 3/3 stats and affixes.
Would be nice to have something to distinguish them there already.

i have 2 rings that have 3 attributes and have 2 magic affixes and they only have 1 gem slot . what to do to get it to have 3 sockets??
rings only get 1 socket
