Obtaining weapons that are not from my class

This is not a bug.
When you complete each of the class-specific tasks in Survivor’s Bane, as shown below…
…and collect the rewards, you will receive a legendary item for the class whose task you completed, i.e. if you complete the Necromancer task, you’ll get a Necromancer legendary.
Why does it exist when I am a demon hunter? Why is it an existing reward for a different class?
Because some players actually change class. This event, which is repeated quite often, gives a way of obtaining essences for other classes without you having to change class first, meaning you may have an easier time after changing because you’ll already have some essence powers available.
Regardless of whether you like / dislike the feature, it’s working as intended.
That means it’s not a bug.

Go to the essence person and change the submission class bottom left. It’s for people who change classes.
