Suddenly very sow loading of the game

(PC, Win 10) Yesterday, everything was normal, today (with the start of the new BP) suddenly the game tends to load many minutes for no reason. Very slow downloading into “patch” folder. No changes are made on my system since yesterday, other Internet stuff works as usual, no Internet issue I’m aware of.
I did a scan+ repair" and deleted the “patch” folder and also some DX cache, got a fresh IP and tried every trick I stumbled over in the net. Game still loads very slow and hangs often at 99.75%" in the checking for updates (which happens every start of the game, no clue what the game there actually does). Re-updating the recent 500MB patch also took ages, very slow download.
I never experienced this kind of issue before. Weird.

I can’t be the only one that has slow loading times (since one week). Sometimes it’s fast, sometimes it takes 5 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes and it always hands within the last % of upgrading files in the start screen. (395/396 files for instance). Never had this issue before. Patches sometimes fix it but not for long. No clue what the games does but the .exe file is very busy during this period. Downloads not so much. Server issues?

And I’ve had it again, game suddenly loaded for hours without doing much at the update screen in the beginning. I suspect a bad routing to Blizzard servers or something like that. I got a new IP and cleared all caches but nothing really helped. Other Blizzard Games (Overwatch, Diablo 3) worked fine at the same time.
It’s at least back to normal now, last patch also went fine and fast, game is loading compared fast (depending on the day time). It basicity fixed itself without any changes made on my setup. So I’m very sure it’s not my fault, even other players on my server did not expected these issues at the same time.

Seriously, WHAT EXACTLY does the game has to download every start? It writes countless folders in the /patch folder, most of these stay empty anyway. Anyone with technical knowledge can resolve what’s going on at every start of Diablo Immortal?
