Stuck at upgrading legendary items above level 20

I have insufficient materials and i dont know were to find.
I need scrap materials and glowing shard.
It no longer drop.

No, you don’t.
These options are enabled by default…

What this means is that…

  • If an upgrade requires 20 scrap materials, the blacksmith can use reinforced scrap materials instead, at a 1:1 ratio, i.e. 1 reinforced scrap will be consumed as if it’s 1 scrap
  • If an upgrade requires 20 reinforced scrap materials, the blacksmith can use scrap materials instead at a 20:1 ratio, i.e. 20 scrap will be consumed as if it’s 1 reinforced scrap

This 1:1 (higher materials used instead of lower materials) and 20:1 (lower materials used instead of higher materials) is the same for…

  • scrap materials / reinforced scrap materials
  • enchanted dust / beguiling dust
  • glowing shard / flowing shard
  • enigmatic crystals / cryptic crystals

The reason this was implemented is so that once you progress past the difficulty where items would salvage into the lower materials, and you’re only getting the higher materials, you can still do lower rank upgrades.

In other words, farm at your normal difficulty and any higher materials you gain will always be usable because the high materials can be used for low rank and high rank upgrades. You do not require the low materials any more.

This is not a bug.
