Rank transfer did not work

Hi.

I crafted a new secondary set item. It was a gloomguide.

For some reason the system set the rank at 1.

Because I did not see this I salvaged my old ring which was a rank 18.

I now cannot get that rank back given rift limitations.

I’ve started to work the rank of the new ring back up but I will not be able to get it all the way.

Can the rank be restored to rank 18.

If you salvaged the ring that carried the rank, it’s gone. If you ask why, I accidentally salvaged a green item carrying rank 2 a long time ago. Lesson learned.

But if you did not, and the ring is either in your inventory or in the item chest, just re-equip the ring and transfer rank to new ring.

To prevent accidentally salvaging gear, always lock the gear you are currently using. So that any rank, or gem and rune for legendary items, can still be found.
