Also over the windows sytem /display/ graphics and etc settings we can change windowed optimalization ,eg if u run in windowed mode, i switched off widowe game optimalizatiin and over the games put there immortal as gpu preference → peformance oriented
In additional turned off the hardvare accelerated gpu scheduling.
Improved the performance now
(Still cant reverse back to win, hence needing partial solitions)

Whilst seemed better in dungeons with spmmer builds but frooze again in rite lst 5 second with full team up and fight cast each other :confused:

Issue still exist after the very recent fresh 2025 circulated win updates, so if anyone of you been holding or waited on it, iam sharing it is Still not fixing :confused:

Still no upgrade with February update ,but turned of hardware accelerated gpu and turning off windowed optimalization +

  • check main game file folder engine/binaries/win64 → DiabloImmortal exe over left click and comptobility set it to windows7 and over bottom switch off full screen optimalization

This after all fixed my freezes zero since a week !!! → zero freeze in whole Feb month after above settings ,even with intense fights, game is like before the messy win update

I have serious fps drops today, the game froze completely twice when I was in the underground, I could only move the mouse cursor, the only solution was to restart the computer.

I reinstalled Windows, reinstalled graphics drivers twice, and Diablo twice.

thats because as has been stated above it is due to the 24H2 update released start of the month. Also EU servers are having connection issues as well

ubisoft made a fix for their games in 48 hours so that there would be no problem with bugged auto-hdr windows
 maybe blizzard would fix it on their side because it’s impossible to play when the game keeps crashing

Microsoft said it’s a Windows issue. If you don’t consider Microsoft to be an authoritative source about Windows problems, who would you believe?

So why does Diablo Immortal run perfectly in my Windows 11 Pro 23H2 PC?

Of course, it’s an issue for DI. And other games. That only started to happen in those computers that updated to Windows 11 24H2. Who should fix it? IMO, each developer should be working in a solution, like Ubisoft apparently did already, but the root of the problem came in Windows 24H2, so it should be Microsoft the ones to find out and fix whatever is causing games to malfunction.

Microsoft should look into it if the problem would be with ALL the games
if it’s just some Ubisoft games (already sorted) and Diablo Immortal, well

Microsoft has acknowledged that their update broke something in games (and in many other things, the list of known issues is extensive). They should fix all of that. Because it’s them who broke it. Game developers disabling a feature that was working fine before the Microsoft update is no solution, it’s just a hot-fix that should be temporary.

Sure, Blizzard could do the same thing, but they could also do nothing and wait for Microsoft to fix the problem and for now

The windows 11 24h2 auto hdr issue can’t be the solution. I have no auto hdr option, because my both displays doesn’t support hdr content. But i still get the “pc freezing issue” after upgrading to 24h2. Only working solution was a downgrade to win11 23h2 (reinstall). I hope someone will fix the issue fast, since ActivionBlizzard is owned by Microsoft, it’s a in-house problem.

just because someone is owned by another company doesn’t mean they all work on the same projects and DI is a NetEase creation using the Diablo brandings. It’s frustrating beyond compare, but we can only wait and see

I have been having this problem months before the windows update of 24h2. When my computer froze it was necessary to do a hard shutdown by turning the CPU power off. The use of a Windowed game so that the Task Bar was showing and when the CPU froze just clicking on the Task Bar got the game to resume. This should not be necessary as the game still has coding problems that make playing the game is a “RANDOM ISSUE”. With latest game update new problems have emerged. Yesterday I could not even use the in-game store (good way to save money).

If you have new problems start a new post. Hijacking an existing one does no good. Also if you had freezing prior to the windows update that again is another issue requiring it’s own post.

It’s the Microsoft Bios updates that’s causing problems. Do yourselves a favor and disable Optional updates.

Yes this has been going on with my PC for quite a while now. It’s the only game that seems to happen with. I thought my video card was overheating but nope. This game is just a poorly designed game with too many bugs. They clearly never fixed the mobile to PC issues. It never happens on mobile only PC. This game is a multi million dollar piece of trash

pourtant le bug de freeze dans mon cas a moi a commencer a 3h10am juste apres le reset du serveur et de la mise a jour graphique du jeux qu’il y a eu. 10min apres avoir tĂ©lĂ©chargĂ© la maj j’ai commencĂ© a plantĂ© et cela m’arrive a chaque jour minimum 5fois

la dernier mise a jour majeur diablo le 13 dĂ©cembre j’ai commencer a voir les freeze aussitot apres le reset. j’ai mise a jour window pour ma par je les installĂ© le 15 dĂ©cembre seulement. donc 2jour + tard. en 2 jour je confirme que les freeze me parvienne 5fois a 10x par jour . en conclusion le freeze ont commencer avant la mise a niveau du window pour moi donc le probleme vien certainement de la derniere maj du jeux.

Yesterday Windows 11 24H2 Update was forcable installed by Microsoft. Freezing Bug ist still present. It’s a shame, that this known bug it’s still not fixed 
 It’s unplayable with this random freezes. Blizzard/Netease please do something to fix this !!!
