I have been trying to sell a 4/5 Hellfire gem for months now. The minimum price in the market is 160K platinum, No one will buy a hellfire at that price. I see several others selling the same gem at the min price - they never sell. Better 4/5 legendary gems have lower minimums in the market. Hellfire is the second worst 5* legendary gem in the game. We should be able to sell this at a lower price.
it’s a market and prices are based on star value not the gem in question. It sucks that you got a 4/5 hellfire but there is no bug here. Can’t lower the price of one without the others as well and messing up the market worse
Clearly the prices are not purely based on the quality of the gems. Some gems are desirable, some gems are not. Players are unable to list the less desirable gems for a price that they might actually sell at, because the Marketplace will not allow it. This leaves the owners of those gems unable to sell them for a price that buyers might actually pay because they cannot list them low enough.

…which referenced a post I first made on the old forums in March 2023 where the minimum price I could list the Howler’s for was 64,000 plat, despite the fact that there were already existing listings for the same quality gem at 44K and 48K on the Marketplace, i.e. the lowest price I could list the gem for was around 20K plat more than people might actually pay for it.
I ended up just using it for 32 gem power because the gem was unsellable at the price I was able to list it at. This issue has been apparent with the Marketplace for over 18 months.

Ive been trying to sell a 4/5 hellfire for over a year!!! This is so aggravating! We spend a premium for unbound gems so they can be sold. Yet were locked way above the value of this gem making it impossible to sell. My server has four 4/5 hellfires sitting in the market at all times.
There are plenty of other viable gems selling for half the price, id be happy at this point to sell it for 30k!
