are they locked on a higher difficulty?
No. I’m in inferno v and so is the item. It shows as i have it in my essences and when i go to equip it. It isn’t there
Which slot is it? If its a weapon slot make sure your other wep doesn’t have it as base essence.
Helmet slot. Whirling howl appears in my essences. When I go to equip it. It isn’t there. The essence that is there is skirmskull. In my shoulder slot it says I do not have hydras maw unlocked but in inherit it shows up as the original essence that comes with the build
thats cuz u havent extracted it yet, you can have the item just not the essence
The essence has been extracted twice now. The first time it disappeared when I tried to equip it. The next time I got it it’s glowing in my essences like the rest of them I have but it now disappears when I try to equip it.
If it’s glowing on the first tab it means you have an item with that essence waiting to be salvaged.
Not glowing like flashing. It’s gold like the rest of the essences I have and not black and white.

That’s a legendary item in your inventory from which you can extract the essence. Once you do this extraction, you can inherit that essence in your currently equipped item if you wish.
No. It looks like the contagious misery below it.
The helmet you are using was originally “Whirling Howl”, but you used a different essence on it. Now, if you want to use “Whirling howl” again, you only need to choose [ORIGINAL] Whirling… You can see by the image that it’s the same helmet that you had before in the essences page for that one.
I’m guessing that the same thing happens with your Shoulder item.
