In the event “colossal surge”, there is an option that states that you can exchange unbound gem fragments for polished cores and with 7 polished cores, you can upgrade a 3 star legendary gem to 4 star. When you exercise the option of exchanging the unbound gem fragments for the polished cores, it instead takes the polished cores. The icon on the page literally says “get” with the polished core image next to it… How do i get my resources back or at least compensated for the loss and now inability to upgrade my gem. I spent 80 dollars to acquire those resources and feel absolutely cheated here.
It definitely should, but doesnt. I bought a bunch of packs for the crests, just to push through the event for the cores. After i exchanged and got ripped off, i screen shot what it claims i should have gotten, just to prove it to mods. So far, everyone ive spoken to through the report systems have just passed the ball. This is the last resort for me before i just wash my hand of this game. I stopped playing other games for this same reason and caved with my “no spending money” rule, just for this game

And understood that you would get 1 Polished Core in exchange for 10 Bound Gem Fragments. It’s the other way around, you get 10 Bound Gem Fragments in exchange for 1 Polished Core.
In the topic I linked, I even had mentioned how in the Crystal Merchant you can see a similar case:
Where, of course, you can buy 1 Echo Crystal by spending 500 platinum.
I’m sorry, but this is not a bug, you simply misunderstood how the event’s shop works.
I have to say, that whilst this is not a bug, it is very bad design and it could be addressed by something as simple as changing the wording on the button used to purchase items.

Don’t know if Google Translator is reliable, but the Chinese words for „get for“ or „get“ seems to be the same.
„Get for 1 polished core“ would make more sense.
