Seems that this latest patch has buffed monsters in certain events to an excessive degree without documenting these changes for players.
On Sunday, I ran Endless Cyrangar with my Warband and we posted a mere 30,600 score whereas we used to post anywhere from 50,000 to 65,000 before.
Today, I am running Abyssal Verge in a party of four and the mobs are buffed to the point where even getting 3 +3 gems is a chore. Legendary Elites are incredibly difficult to kill and basically a waste of time now unless you’re a DPS monster whale. I’ve had to ditch the party and run it solo to at least guarantee myself a score over 1500.
I find this kind of change unacceptably irresponsible from the developers. Therefore, I am stating my complaint here in the forum, even though this moderator, wherever he is, probably won’t report it. Basically a mirror of the developers concern.
Only when NetEase and Blizzard start to see revenues sag and players quit in droves do we get any action.
I agree with you. something strange has been happened in the last release … activities that I was able to do it alone in 2 or 3 minutes now it takes more than 6 minutes. Nothing has changed in my ability, excellence, equipment, green set nor gems and as a matter of facts all my stast has encreased … it seems that all monsters got an emprovement in strenght and life … not do I
Yesterday I ran a couple Verges and I have to disagree, everything felt normal. There was no difference in difficulty, the monsters died just as fast as always. On the second run I was able to get the 3+3 gems and that was on the Frozen Tundra map which is the worst map for Verges.
I’m happy that it went well for you. I found that as a solo effort, I had a lot less difficulty than in the 4-man party. Perhaps there was a hotfix to it later in the day when you ran it. We shall see next next Monday.
I’ve run Verges so often that it was very obvious to me that something was simply not the same as previous weeks/months and I stand by my statements above.
I still feel that these developers owe us a lot more than they provide in terms of instruction, notices and fixes to a myriad of problems within the game. It’s my money that profits the company and puts a paycheck in their hands.
Simply put, they provide abyssmal to nearly non-existant customer service. You know this to be true if you’ve been here any length of time.
Prior to playing Diablo Immortal, I played Diablo III for a decade. In my dealings with Blizzard one thing has always held true. What they say, and what they actually do, can be wildly different, so trust their actions, not their words.
I definitely noticed harder mobs/bosses in Hellslayer Bounties. And I’m very sure that nothing of that stood anywhere in the patch notes. On Purpose?
Why there is still almost no communication between Blizzard and the players? Where are all the new Community Managers that pop up every week or so?
This week, there’s been considerably less posts for Verge runs. IN WC, many have stated that Verge has been nerfed.
So it’s not my imagination. Grouping up for Verge is now on the decline and most people are either soloing it or reverting back to Hidden lairs for the gems.
I want to recommend they consider the advertising used to promote Bundles. I purchased the promised glory chest. In it were two other chest .
A masterwork Random chest which says
Select 6. 5 star gems legendary gems (quality2) and one of the six gems will be obtained. When you clicked on the gems available to read the benefits they are all 5 star gems. I got a 2 star gem not a 5 totally not what I expected.
The same thing happened with the Masterwork gem selection chest. Also says you will get a 5 star and I got a 2 star.
I reached out to support and I was told that is how it is designed. Pretty depressing to have the expectation and spend a concierable amount of money to not get what I was expected.
Might be a good idea to rethink the wording to avoid misleading others.
The wording on the chest descriptions correctly say that you will obtain a Quality 2 5-star gem but the wording on the selection screen (where you choose the six gems you’ll get one of) says you’ll get a Quality 5 gem.
So, yes, you’re getting what you’re supposed to, i.e. a Quality 2 gem, but support should absolutely be aware that the game is giving misleading information that the developers need to fix.
This was reported weeks / months ago, and they haven’t fixed the wording on the selection screen.
