Let’s take a look at the two types of Masterwork Gem Chests.
Masterwork Gem Random Chest
When used, select six 5-star Bound Legendary Gems (Quality 2).
One of the six gems will be randomly obtained.
Masterwork Gem Selection Chest
When used, select one 5-star Bound Legendary Gem (Quality 2) to obtain.
There are currently 22 different 5-star gems in the game (as at 25th February 2025).
What you get…
Masterwork Gem Random Chest
- You select six of the 22 possible gems
- The game randomly picks one of the six gems you selected
- You receive one Quality 2 version of that randomly selected gem
Masterwork Gem Selection Chest
- You select one of the 22 possible gems
- You receive one Quality 2 version of the gem you selected
What you do NOT get…
- More than one gem
- A gem higher than Quality 2

Despite the wording on both chests types clearly indicating that a Quality 2 gem will be obtained, when getting to the screen where you select six gems (from the Masterwork Gem Random Chest) the wording incorrectly indicates that you will receive a Quality 5 gem…
This dialog is incorrect.
You will receive a Quality 2 gem, as per the chest’s description.
