META Necros - absolutely bad concept destroying balance in BG
almost 100% of the time they move in immunity and do very strong passive damage, movement speed in immunity allows you to simply go to a safe place = i.e. even if the team they’re playing gets compensated because the opponent is overpowered - necro still scores 20 kills/0 deaths - you’ve created a second Marvel Deadpool hero
Necro safely prevents people from running away from combat - kills them on the run + and also prevents them from healing (use bandage) - simply interrupts
Necros survivability is so high that META builds have already suggested using second life - so even if you nerf it, he’ll still just deploy second life and be where he was.
Who has such great ideas to give classes with immunity such abilities? (this also applies to the barbarian hammer, which is 4x stronger than any damage from purely DPS characters)
In many BGs it seems that weaker characters are cleaned out just by having necros going around - the passive damage radius is huge + while often combining with DoTs and micro stun/kick
These builds already existed before the last damage reduction, but they used second life because they sometimes used burst damage to kill necros (but even then, necros always had an average survivability of 20 kills vs 1-3 deaths.
Conclusion - BG balance: If they pit the same number of equally strong DPS classes against each other, then those who have in the team will win:
a - primarily) More barbarians
b - secondarily) More necros
So you already know before the match how it will all turn out - which surprises me that it’s so simple and you don’t have a match making utility, you can tune it so that players are not discriminated against because they are in a BG that can only be lost
You can see how immortal and strong the necros are and they didn’t have a barbarian with a hammer at hand (he even multiplies it because the necro knows that they will do the most frags when they circle around him)
Absolutely i mean what is going in game ? You are keep buffing already strong chars !
Talking about Necro and then Barberians …
You don’t see any other class in battle Ground now …
In my server only 55 DH remain cuz its use less class … people are keep turning towards barberians or necro …
Yeah… it’s kinda BS that necro can maintain “untargeted” form for 80% of the time and have multiple life and at the same time, deal insane damage to everyone.
The untargeted form’s cooldown should only start counting when the “untargeted” status is off to prevent the next “untargeted” skill be used in the next 1-2 seconds.
I see nercos often doing change: sacrifice 2,5k reso - remove 2x5* gems and put in slot 2x2* gem (mather lament + pain clasp) … bcs they dont need reso for survivality and more than reso are this bonuses from lowers gems. This mean this char is OP and stil have another utility witch can use for same effect (second life etc).
And Demon Hunter is trash these days. It lacks CC skills, immunity, and has a weak body. It’s the class that is relatively least helpful in any content. It’s hard to say that it’s because of its strong range damage, because the damage of other classes has gotten much stronger these days.
Sorry for going off topic, I’ve been wanting to talk about a Demon Hunter so badly lately.
Correction: Demon Hunters aren’t that trash. If we make good use of the Demon Hunters’ unique personality and role…
All classes are trash now and only depend how mix Necros and barbars is in your team for BG:
Others classes are now only fillers who are slaves to their MM
Everyone who is not a barbarian or a necro complains on the clan chat about the chain of lost BGs and they are disgusted
A stronger necro is able to stop the progress of the team so that at the spawn of the attackers in front of the idols, 4 strong people (not necros) chase it for 2 minutes (they died a total of 5 times in the process) so that it does not kill the team and then they figure out that they will not even reach the idols, so they leave the BG because there is no point in fighting the windmills
VS Necros - and even if other classes had more damage they would have to do it for great speed, and even if they had the speed and damage to be able to attack the Necro, they don’t have enough time to kill him between immunities…and if this was resolved, the Necro is still not a training figure, so it returns damage in a large radius practically AoE, it spreads dots , micro stunes, etc.
Other classes do not have enough shields, hp, uptime, speed, resistance, damage to be able to resist necro and barbarians.
How high-quality you farm gear, how much combat rating you have, what secondary stats you have, what your reso is, what experience and skill you have, what pets and reforge bonuses do you have - that’s all buried by the current MM and class balance.
If other classes get on the idol, they cannot use immunities because they would not hold the idol.
yes, other classes can use immunities if they only came to the BG to shoot and they are not interested in the result, which leads to the same result and that is the loss of the match and it stops being fun after a few tries
If other classes got on the idol - then the barbarian wipes them out with a charged hammer and if by chance they run away, the necros won’t run away (let alone use heal)… they simply can’t stand it and if it happens somehow (it doesn’t) they still don’t have enough damage to be rivals and don’t have imunities
maybe 30% of BGs are MMs such that we have so many barbarians against us that even though we are lucky and in our team there are very strong DPS characters and some barbarian or crusader, we don’t even get half way with the idols or vice versa no matter what we do, anyway, the idol will push through if they have some decent DPS characters in the background (they usually have that with necros). Mathematically, due to the duration of the barbarian’s or crusaiders immunities, it is predetermined that it is not possible. So it is incomprehensible how characters with immunity, who can hold an idol, can be stacked in one team more than 2x.
IN CONCLUSION:
a) If I wanted to balance something, I would have to start with the abilities of individual classes first … especially immunities and their cooldowns + the ability to keep idols in immunity. Next is some OP damage sources (like charged hamer for barbarian e.t.c.)
Only this can be precisely balanced and without this foundation there is no point in doing.
b) Than u can do some with Matchmaking
limit the number of individual classes to a maximum of 2 in a team, and if more, the same on both sides.
c) People want a chance to win in BG and fight in a balanced match (respectively to be valid in the team). If you want a variant for lower reso characters for survival - well, give them something with immunity, but not so that it can’t have damage like 12 k reso character … DPS characters, on the other hand, should be without immunities and with higher damage but a greater risk of mortality
Let me not forget: being on the OP side in BG is also boring, because when you see those players who are massacred and they are many times your good friends, after a few matches like this you are more sad than enjoying the game.
Have you tried to swap build or not stick to necro and keep the distance while fight?
I mean I’ve started using wind walk + cascade, cause of barbs with Spartusk so I can destroy them while in longer range. Same goes with necros if I land flowing strike stun on time.
False - using as much beneficial effect as possible AND with 4/4 magic attributes reducing cd on ‘dash’ based on distance travelled, you STILL have 2 seconds between wraith form (of which only 2 seconds is truly immune). Any cont; dmg incurred still is ticking and very possible to DIE mid-wraith. In real life, you need to hit both Scythe skill and Corpse Lance Skill – both of which requires the character to STOP, cast one, then second skill STILL stopped, then fire wraith and go. Compared to dh little circle stutter dance while firing 360 deg and immune…? this is not an easy dance and with 2 seconds on the corpse lance circle and 5 second on Scythe -small window to dmg and you need to stop, cast two skills then hit 3rd…Vulnerable? you bet
*As does ANY character in BG doing dmg to you. You need to move far enough away. if he’s chasing you he cant catch you…you have multiple dash’s vs his one
You own video shows you running onto idol, engaging 2 or more necros plus other characters, taking some dmg and you run away to safe zone and heal…who is OP here?
sounds to me like a DH who’s not op anymore…remember 4 mos ago when everyone was DH or Wiz? Doubly sounds like an OP dh who tried to move to OP Tempest and is not OP enough for the OP barbs and OP Necros…
its a build - people at the top of leader board would be there anyway…whats their secondary stats? by nature necro VERY squishy, does not have melee stat boost…learn how to counter wwhen they are out of wraith. i am sorry that you lost top spot but every tempest i know still going 30-0…
As time went by, each class’s individuality was established. The imbalance (food chain relationship) that comes from individuality should be acknowledged.
The individuality should be adjusted by subtle numerical adjustments if it is too excessive or insufficient. It is not about completely eliminating the individuality of the classes and making them uniform.
However, I think that there are too many immunities. There are also many CCs. How did we fight in the early Immortal Battlegrounds when there were not many immunities and CCs?
Can’t they make an exciting game without immunities and CCs?
It becomes difficult to say easily that “it is imbalanced” these days. There are many veterans of the game, so there are some users who have optimized their builds and have excellent control. Imbalances due to skill are mixed with matching imbalances and class imbalances. The skill of setting up a build and the skill of controlling the character cannot be ignored. To be precise, It is not imbalance, but rather a difference in skill. The difference in skill is inevitable.
It’s really hard to match up neck-and-neck matches.
However, if overall (on average) the performance of many users of a given class is better than that of other classes, it is a class imbalance and the balance should be adjusted by subtle numerical adjustments.
They are going to keep running off people that are sick of the imbalanced PvP. Necro and tempest both have become absurd. Go ahead and continue this nonsense and put yourselves out of business. I mean, let’s don’t pretend like people aren’t quitting at a rapid rate and you aren’t merging servers because people have left.
