I’ve had 3 days of game time where all my glowing shards and enchanted dust randomly disappeared (went to 0) and now I do not get them after salvaging or completing dungeons. I have salvaged many items and completed quite a few events and dungeons, claimed rewards - but it stays at 0. I can only get enchanted dust at the vendor next to the blacksmith.
PS - Salvage Material Settings are all OFF. Tried Repair client now too.
Please help, this is stopping me from progressing in gear advancement and I’m about to give up on the game.

If I’m not mistaken, the old materials where completely removed from salvaging items / extracting legendaries.
You‘ll only get Reinforced Scrap, Beguiling Dust and Flowing Shards. Just checked on a low level char, which hasn’t even progressed to Hell 1 and it has a lot more of said materials than Scrap, Enchanted Dust and Glowing Shards.
Then why do I still need them to upgrade gear and what am I supposed to do? If they were removed, I’d assume they wouldn’t be still listed when using Upgrade Gear option. Also I wouldn’t be able to get it from the Blacksmith materials vendor.
Also a GM said to post this as a bug report, I doubt it’s intentional then.
Yes I get more of the other mats, but I can’t really use them for anything I need, unless it’s exchanging them for said scrap and dust, but not shards.
This is deffo a bug and I can’t do anything about it, would need someone to actually fix this from staff. Otherwise the most important part of gear advancement is totally busted.
Doubt they’ll fix it, I’ll finish the story and uninstall the game it seems.
You can user higher materials for lower upgrades same as vice versa if you have those options enabled.

Yes, just use the higher materials by turning on the options.
The conversion from higher > lower is 1:1, so it’s not really a big deal, because only the higher ones are dropping now.
The conversion from lower > higher is 20:1 I think. So if you still have a lot of lower materials left (e.g. Scrap), keep in mind to only use those when upgrading items below the levels where the higher materials are normally used.
I think they kept all the old materials and and their conversion options in the game for compatibility reasons and to not penalize players, who farmed those before the change.
It would have been better though, if they just updated the materials in the players‘ stashes. But who knows which parts of coding would have been affected and what kind of bugs would have been introduced. It works right now, so better keep it that way.
Thanks that worked. Really weird way of having it without any notification. Also don’t really see updates on that, but I guess if it works, keep it working even with bugs.
Have a good one guys
