I unsocketed my level 4 Void spark from my equipment and it goes dormant although i never extracted the power from it. I attempt to resocket the now dormant gem and it stays dormant. The only way i can bring it back from being dormant is by using a previous loadout where i had it equipped. Any help on this matter is much appreciated.

Sounds like the loadout where it is not dormant has resonance gems inserted in the void spark being used as gem power. If so, adding the same amount of gem power as resonace gems when dormant will bring it back.
I had similar issues , my starfire and frozen both went dormant after progress upgrades then leaving the screen or moving the gem. They both went dormant. What’s weird is that I still have the option to make them go dormant (truly) . I’ve never extract power from either of these gems as I used them religiously. This is a bug and I have lost hundreds in gem power trying to fix.

Same problem here as well, two gems, one is dormant in any sets, another one - still alive in one set. Is there any solution how to fix this issue?
It’s too expensive to lose two leg gems for nothing.
