*FIXED* No Internal Audio from Game on Screen Recorder Videos

UPDATE
Updating my Android software to One UI 6.1 resolved the issue. Thanks to everone who chimed in!

Recently, I think as of the recent update, screen recording gameplay no longer receives the internal audio from the game. I’ve been recording videos of this game almost every day since its release the same way that I’m trying to now, but now the videos have no sound. If I select the setting to record both internal audio and microphone, it will get audio from the mic, but still not from the game.

I did confirm the game sound is on and it’s producing audio that can be heard on my phone speakers, headphones, Bluetooth, etc.

My normal recording method does still capture the internal audio from any other apps. So this is specific to the Diablo Immortal app.

I also tried using a third-party screen recording app (XRecorder) and that didn’t record any sound either. It even told me that there may not be audio when it saved the video.

This happened either January 19 or 20. My recordings from the 18th still have sound, but starting on the 20th they do not. Also my last OS update was the 21st so it’s not that.

I think this issue started after a recent update. I just checked the in-game screen recording settings (Settings > Video Capture) and I can no longer enable it even though I’ve used it in the past and it worked. When I click either “Enable highlight capture” or “Enable manual capture” it gives this error:
This model is not supported for now, please wait for updates.

Please fix this! I’m a YouTuber focused on this game… Help me help you!

It’s frustrating to record a screen video and discover it lacks the game’s sound. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the missing internal audio in your screen recordings:

1. Check Screen Recorder Settings:

  • Verify Audio Source: Ensure your screen recorder is set to capture “internal audio” or “device audio” instead of just the microphone. This setting might be labeled differently depending on your recorder.

2. System Permissions:

  • Grant Recording Permissions: Some screen recorders require specific permissions to access the device’s audio. Check your app permissions and grant the necessary access if missing.

3. Restart Device and App:

  • Simple Reboot: A quick device restart can often resolve temporary glitches that might be causing the audio issue. Additionally, close and relaunch the screen recorder app.

4. Software Updates:

  • Update Screen Recorder: Outdated software can sometimes lead to unexpected issues. Check for updates for your screen recorder app and install them if available.

5. Alternative Screen Recorders:

  • Try a Different App: If the problem persists, consider trying a different screen recorder app. Some popular options offer reliable internal audio recording capabilities.
