The Cycle of Strife tasks in Chapters 2, 3 and 4 of the Hero’s Journey are shown as follows…

Chapter 2 - Complete 9 Shadow Contracts

Chapter 3 - Complete 18 Shadow Contracts

Chapter 4 - Complete 36 Shadow Contracts

This wording is incorrect.

As a Shadow

  • These tasks are based on the number of weekly Shadow Goals completed
  • These tasks are not based on the number of Shadow Contracts completed.

I’ve reported the same thing in multiple Hero’s Journey iterations, and responded to a number of Bug Report threads from players confused as to why doing Contracts isn’t updating the tasks. Please fix the wording to avoid further Bug Report threads in the coming weeks.

The Hero’s Journey Chapter 2 task requires 9 weekly goals to be completed.

I think I’ve seen 4 different Reddit posts about this issue this week alone :joy:

The most annoying thing about this is that it’s been this way for at least three iterations of the Hero’s Journey, i.e. 18 months, and it’s such a simple fix. The task works. The task is functional. It increments correctly based on Shadow Goals completed. The only problem is the wording on the task, i.e. the fix literally just involves correcting the text in a string variable. Not only that, they already have the text available because the same type of tasks that appear in Chapters 5 / 6 have the correct wording.

This has been fixed, i.e. the wording on the tasks now correctly matches the criteria for completion…
