Just seen the latest patch notes posted today.

All I can say in response is…are you joking?

The changes highlighted in the patch notes BARELY qualify as “tinkering” and do NOTHING to deal with the underlying problems. Hell, the changes don’t even address the very simple point of giving players a CHOICE to play either BG.

I get that the MM changes are not included in the patch notes - but we’ve heard this I don’t know how many times for…literally now…years. So you’ll forgive my scepticism.

Disappointed, but not remotely surprised.

Yeah I agree mate, I am normally around the 55-65% win rate mark myself, only missed 1 legend rank any given season since game launch. Picking up on Kilometer’s point as well with my response: I’d say this - its a grind I agree- but it was already a long grind with the P*ss poor MM system, the grind, in my personal opinion, is now unnecessarily long with the point reduction system in place and is not conducive to players who can’t invest the time required to grind it out.

I can (just about thankfully), but sadly I know plenty who can’t and have lost out on their legend ranks since the point reduction system was introduced.

Haha yeah…it didn’t solve the main issue of the map. Who cares about the notification or the guardian buff when the main issue is that the idol movement is too fast and favors the melee class with damage immunity spam. :roll_eyes:

We have received feedback from players that the double-row system will lead to a large difference in combat power between the two sides in some cases. After the update, the matching algorithm will deal with these situations and make adjustments quickly according to the online situation.

Head : Krubask sneer (19% crit rate)
Chest : Shackled fate (spear pull spam)
Legs : buried talons (+19% dmg from spear)
Shoulder : broken calling (partial cc immunity for knockdown)
MH1 : Rage caller (50% snare with hammer 10% less hammer cd)
MH2 : stonefall (+19% hammer dmg 10% less hammer cd)
OH1 : roar of persuasion (50% crit dmg and hp leech) → most broken thing
OH2 : flickertonne (hammer spam))

@GhostSignal NERF BARB not BUFF them more if you want to game not to die. Stop being so out of touch and fix your game.

After today’s update, I experienced a lot of uneven matchups in BG convoy, and I keep getting compensation for most matchups.

So I checked everyone’s profile after the match was over for every match, and I found many matchups with [one lone whale with 9k~10k] in either team. Yes, only one whale, not whale for each team.

For example:

Either [Team A has one 10k reso whale + 7 low reso] VS [Team B with 8 low reso] or [Team A with 8 low reso] VS [Team B with one10k whale + 7 low reso].

Clearly, something was wrong with BG convoy matchmaking after the update.

Do we know it was working prior to the update though, i.e. did this morning’s patch break something, or did you just get lucky previously?

Well, they said they were working on duo matchmaking for BG convoy in this patch, something they did must have affected today’s BG convoy.

EDIT: Thank you to every one that provided feedback on the new Convoy BG mode. First round of improvements land next week, including changes to matchmaking to better balance teams after the intro of Duo Queue. This won’t be in the patch notes, but in the Bug Fix notes later next week.

I don’t think I ever got so much loss compensation in BG convoy until today.

Well that is utter BS lost 7% rating at nearly 300 points you devs can’t implement anything at all close to what you say. The sheer unequivocal incompetence is astounding to be honest for a top tier company it is pathetic you devs still have jobs.

If this was any other industry people would be screaming at you for compensation for wasting their time for a faulty product

Stacking 4-5 tank classes on one side against 0 or 1 tanks on the other is your balancing not even starting on the resonance difference which has been absurd, having two enemy players with more resonance than your whole team.

Oh and ffs fix demon hunters damage mitigation getting sneezed on and falling over dead is a joke both in pve and pvp (but you won’t or even read or reply)

The New Battleground doesn’t progress Immortal Trials. Would be great if we could access old BG at 18 or make the new BG progress the questline.

Bottom line: it can always be worse! And your promises are worth nothing!

No desire to continue testing your new battleground with unbalanced teams at the expense of my BG battleground rating!

Give us the choice to play the old or new battleground in prime time.

Since the last patch, playing BG has become unbearable. I played 10 matches and lost 8 of them - every time, the enemy had a huge advantage. Did you break the MM again? Cos everything became much worse than it was.

Not all collision issues are fixed—some classes still get stuck. For example, DH get stuck mid-air during their jumps in some places, even when there are no objects nearby.

And why necros are almost always untargetable and invisible while still being able to attack. Never seen this before - did I miss something?

Can anyone honestly say that they think it was ever fixed or balanced at any point since launch? I don’t think so.
Matchmaking has always been unfair, with the extreme exception when the battleground was especially fun in the one in a million matchup because it was balanced.
Even if they eventually get matchmaking more closely to being fair and balanced, the real issue will still be prevalent and dominating. Unbalanced classes was, is, and always will be the single issue in all PvP events. Unless this is addressed, there will simply be no way to truly make fair and balanced matchmaking.
Everyone has complained about this since launch, and nothing changes. They instead implement a new class that is completely imbalanced, in an effort to acquiesce the masses, and the whole imbalance cycles again.
I do not believe that they will ever try and make anything fair and imbalanced, since the opposite is part of their business model, as I have previously posted here:

Until they change their business model, we will keep getting unfair an imbalanced classes, and therefore unfair and imbalanced PvP events.

Sigh…another BG convoy map where the enemy team has 1 [10k reso] + 7 [2k-3k reso] versus my team that has 8 [2k-3k reso] and guess how the KDA result looks like? Enemy Team Total Kills are 55+, while our team is stuck at below 20 kills.

you guys are actually making matchmaking worse than ever and for what to be forced to play your new crap BG that no one actually wants to play.

Everyone is saying the same thing yet falls on deaf fooking ears no wonder people have left the game and are continuing to leave

Oooooooo but look at all of this new content we’ve added a whole 20min of game time play but we’ve left the absolutely appalling issues in there our bad

my experience with new BG - i got 1% win , 99% lose. i lost all my rank points - as a result - i quit playing in new BG but i play in previous BG style , i guess im slow in new BG, not agile and not my things as i always get attack from my back and side ( in mobile view - it so difficult to see player behind me and my side) the view seem to channeled only “ME” view - but in PC, i have WIDE range view - i prefer playing using my mobile cause it convenient for me to move around and doing my things

well also have to add my experiences…new bg…on the begining it was fione…now it sucks. yesterday i have like 4 battles where i had 4 whales on my side (reso over 10k). so there were whales also on other side. we lost all 4 battles as the whales made no killl…what is that…new tactics? or they have some agreement tat they pull other to legend?
another thing by new or old mode is imbalance…terrible imbalance for classes

  1. tempest - believe me, nerf will not help…that class should be deleted completlly…developers just stole all the best skills from other classes and created unbeatable monster for players who don’t know how to play. another thing is that they are invisible, terribly fast, dash by primary??? it is a joke. not mentioning that the class no place in diablo world…i thought it is fantasy game…all classes in the game are understandable…except tempest…what is that even?

I did a handful of matches in the new mode the day it came out. Until Hero’s Journey Chapter VI had a task requiring doing one Convoy BG, I hadn’t been back in. I just do BGs in the mornings so I can avoid this new mode. If this new mode eventually replaces the old BG mode, not sure I’ll be bothering to get to Legend any more.

Blizzard had one, sure-fire way of establishing which of the two BG modes the players prefer, i.e. make both modes available every time BGs are open, and see which one players picked. Blizzard would know categorically and empirically which BG players preferred. Instead, they’ve got a thread asking for feedback and how players feel about it, whilst ignoring stuff like terrible match-making still being a thing, and the 2-player queueing means you can have pairs of whales dominating matches.

Unfortunately FORCED into playing this wretched Convoy BG mode by the Hero’s Journey. So in I went this evening fully expecting another badly balanced game. And guess what Blizzard, you didn’t disappoint.

Improvements made to the MM you say? WHAT Improvements? How about this…On the team I was on, I was paired with a player who had…are you ready for this: LEVEL 55 Paragon! Opposing team, guess what - all 770-780+. Needless to say, the game wasn’t just a win, it was a total and complete domination.

Under what RIDICULOUS system or under what absolute INSANITY do you believe that his is remotely acceptable? Dropping a level 55 player into a match like that? What…are you going to tell me that level 55 player had 8k reso and 7k secondaries? (They didn’t).

Seriously - just DELETE this ridiculous game mode and start fixing the MM system and the game. Matches like this one, even in a P2W game, SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN.
