Yep. Mine is having the same issue again this morning.
This morning, it now appears that tethering and/or mobile hotspot (for grins, I attempted both – no dice) no longer works properly.
So found this old thread from over two years ago when this was happening and I tried it out. Game up and running again…for now.
“I was able to fix mine by deleting a hidden file in the root installation directory called .patch.result and also deleting the Patch folder (only 35mb) in /Diablo Immortal/LocalData/. I didn’t get the Client Update error and it proceeded to redownload the patch files, including an additional one that I assume we were missing.”
I played early this morning, 3AM server time, and had no problem logging in as usual. But now I am experiencing the exact same problem as other users are reporting. When I try to login, it goes through the routine of trying to update and reinstall 376 files. It gets up to 375 and then when trying to load file 376 gives an error message saying to check my internet connection. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY INTERNET CONNECTION! With this many users reporting the exact same problem all at the same time it should be obvious to anyone with an IQ higher than a rutabaga the problem is on Blizzard’s end, not ours.
Wishful thinking on my part, but I tried that and… nothin’. Didn’t work. I appreciate the idea though, but I do think this falls squarely on BlizzEase’s collective shoulders to sort out, and until then, those of us who hate the phone controls are left to suffer.
Okay, after an hour of trying to unsuccessfully login due to this error, shortly after posting my message I tried one last time to login, and was successful. TY for the fix.
Welp. Tethering worked to get connected again. Something tells me it’s still a broken mess though, so I’m not holding my breath.
Same issue here. I was able to connect at 6:30pm ish EST yesterday. Tried this morning and the same internet error again.

Same issue here.
Was having this problem 2 days ago then it went away.
Now today this keeps popping up and is so aggravating.
I have (like a lot of people) sunk a lot of money into this game so BLIZZARD get this issue fixed.
Just opened a Trouble ticket.
Hopefully will get to play this game again soon.
So this is what Support said to do and it worked, so will update if this is not the final solution.
This also didn’t work, unfortunately. The game works fine on my phone on the same network my PC connects to, so incredibly doubtful that a cable modem reset is needed… but I’ll look into that another time, as I’m unable to do that at the moment.
Has anyone found a working solution for this. I have tried everything that has been mentioned here but still have the problem. It did randomly start working again but today I am back to the same problem.
Same issue here. Only on PC. My iPad works flawless.
