Colossal engine event not properly counting orbs spent

In addition to a description of the bug you are reporting, please provide:

Device Type: iPad
Device Model: all models
Device Operating System:18.5
Diablo Immortal App Version: all versions

None of the eternal orbs purchased and spent in the auction house are counting towards progress in the Colossal Engine event. The event rules stipulate that ALL ETERNAL ORBS spent during the event count towards earning titanic thrum. It doesn’t exclude orbs spent in the auction house, but none of the orbs spent there have counted, leaving hundreds of dollars unaccounted for.

It also doesn’t count orbs spent to purchase eternal crests. It only seems to count the eternal crests spent in the eternal rift. This is a huge gap and one that has likely resulted in thousands, if not millions of dollars, for the entire customer base, being overspent in the game.

In game support has confirmed my reading of the rules, but said they couldn’t help because it’s a bug and needed to be reported here (which they refused to do on my behalf). At least in my case, I’ve spent significantly more eternal orbs than needed to complete the event, but because I’ve spent them mostly in the auction house, I only have around 2500 of the max 9000. That’s hundreds of dollars for me personally. What can we do to address this?

I believe that you are confusing orbs with obols… The latter are the currency used for purchases in the temporary “Phantom Market” events. “Obols can be purchased with Eternal Orbs, and any unspent Obols will be converted into Platinum once the Phantom Market event ends”.

And yes, spending Obols would give Titanic Thrums, in a 10/1 ratio and they did, when the “Children of the First Forest Phantom Market” was active, between March 20th and April 18th, but right now there’s no Phantom Market available, so no Obols, so… The only way to get Titanic Thrums is by spending crests, either legendary or eternal legendary.

LoL!!! You are so correct…. Ugh, but the language is horrible confusing. Why do they have names that are so similar? I was buying orbs like crazy trying to progress the event and…nothing! Man!

Thanks for the clarification though. Now I just have to make sure to buy the dumb crests. It also didn’t help that the customer service reps said I was reading out right but, oh well, submit a bug report. Not the best experience.
