So I was running Elder rifts 100 crests in with the current bonus turned on and using Builders beacon. I was getting good RNG with lots of 5 star drops. When I entered a rift and my screen went black. I waited around and nothing happened. As I was unable to do anything, I closed the application and restarted it. I found myself outside the rift and noticed that all the crests I had run had been returned to my bag. I noticed all the gems that dropped had gone missing, including the ones in my mailbox.
I tried to do the same again about 120 crests in, the same thing happened. I relog and find that only 80 crests had registered out of that lot. The gems from the 40 crests all but disappeared. This included a 4/5 star copy of the new gem which I had placed on the market place for sale.
Clearly annoyed now!!!
Happens to me since the Update whole time. Already opened 2 threads here and there is an ongoing Support ticket but last answer from blizzard 22h ago. Faced this another time few hours ago - you lose everything. If you join the elder rift you will notice there are no enemys and after 10s you lose everything. You will lose everything what you did since login is my guess. I lost new essences & items and other stuff. The second time this happens for me i joined a elder rift and put gem in market und removed one. Lost both gems + all 10 crests like everytime this happens. Wondering why blizzard still do nothing, we cant be the only one.
Overall lost 70+ crests + and few Gems
sadly cant see that we will getting support in this case
but wondering when it would be safe to buy orbs and crests again… now its a gamble if they allow you to spend money and if you lose this gamble you lose everything you bought and get nothing xD
Hi,
I think the issue is caused by activating builders beakon item. This item allows for the boss to instant spawn. You can deactivate it and try running rifts,
I dont have this item - it must have another cause. but thanks for the tip.
but interesting that you received your crests back via mail? Everything is gone for me, in all incidents

Well I can confirm it’s builder’s beacon doing this on the PC. I was able to replicate this. Imagine spending $320, getting an item and then it bugging your game. It’s funny because I have video evidence of this but no way of me to post it.

Hi team,
I just logged on and looks like I got an apology message in game along with a collection of gems that went missing. It was amusing though that I got a 4/5 Hellfire gem for collection. I don’t recall that gem dropping. I did have a 4/5 Golden Firament dropped which I have a recording off but that wasn’t returned.
Quite amusing….

similar to me. first I would like to say that I didn’t expect any compensation. it is probably not possible for them to reconstruct the things properly. since I bought orbs before the rollback, then converted into crests, these crests disappeared completely after the rollback and of course I didn’t get the orbs back. the apology compensation doesn’t even come close to making up for the loss but yeah… at least they looked into it and did something. thanks that you took the time to check!
it’s just sad that they cant proper support their customer but these are not new findings. in the end just our fault to play and support a game/ company behind like this. it is what it is
