Hello. Today I was trying to upgrade my Crimson Behelit to rank 6. I had rank 5 geared, and locked 7 copies of rank 1 in my inventory, ~ 36 gem power and bunch of 1* gems. I have unlocked one of these Crimson Behelit copies, pressed upgrade on the rank 5 I had geared, pressed to create rank 5 needed for upgrade - it showed it will consume Crimson Behelit gem (I’m pretty sure without the amount that will be consumed, just an icon of the gem),~36 gem power I had in inventory and a bunch of 1* gems as food. I pressed ok, and it consumed all of the 7 copies I’ve had, whereby to upgrade to rank 5 four copies are needed… I’m pretty sure it did not show that it will consume 7 of my Crimson Behelit copies - it showed for 1* gems, that it will consume 3 of Berserker’s Eye, but not for Behelit! There was just an icon of the Behelit gem without an amount displayed! Otherwise I would never click “ok”!
I think what has happened there, is that it used these 3 additional copies as gem food… Showing the amount of 1* gems it will consume and not showing the amount of (locked!) Crimson Behelit it will consume seems like a visual bug to me (6 copies were locked the entire time, I unlocked just one that was required to start upgrading process)…
If it will confirm (I’m 99% sure it did not show the amount that will be consumed for Crimson Behelit like it did for the 1* gems) is there any chance to get back my copies that were consumed as a gem food due to visual bug (for 1* displaying the amount that will be consumed, for Crimson not), or noone from Blizzard will give a f*ck?
Since Blizzard make legendary gems stackable in the Inventory you can no longer lock / unlock individual gems, only the entire stack, i.e. either the entire stack is locked or the entire stack is unlocked.
So, when you unlocked your stack of Behelits, that meant they were all potentially available to be consumed as gem power during an upgrade and this could happen if you chose auto-fill rather than choosing the sources of gem power manually.
If that’s what happened then it was, unfortunately, your mistake, not a bug.
Well, too bad then, still it should show the amount of Behelit that will be consumed like it did for 1* gems, if it did I would never press ok… Oh well, thanks for answer and information, I play for like 4 months, something new to learn I guess…
Thanks, cheers!
Your best way is to never use auto-fill. Click on the icon and manually insert the gems you intend to use as gem power. The few seconds you save with auto isn’t worth the aggravation of potentially losing dupes or other gems you had no intention of salvaging.
Yeah but the problem I have with it, is that it should display - 3 copies of Behelit will be consumed, like it did for 1* Berserkers eye that it will use 3 copies of it. Kinda bullsh*t, when only an icon of Behelit gem was displayed, without the amount, and it consumed 3. For berserker’s eye it showed - 3 copies will be consumed as a gem power, for behelit just an icon of the gem without the amount and it took 3 of them…
I will definitely manually upgrade since now.
Lesson for future I guess.
Thanks for the responses, all the best!
