I lost a bunch of gem power to two dormant gems that went dormant out of nowhere when I switched my gems. Both going on rank 6 4/5, lots of gem power, super lame, needs to be fixed
have you checked the status of the reso gems if they are awakened??

Most likely you used reso gems in an upgrade. Removing the gem also removes the reso gems and the needed power to keep the gem active.
Nope. Just replacing one gem for another off my chest. Now I cant switch build/gems until the bug is fixed. Lost the gem power too
What level is the gem? You have no reso gems within it at all?
I replaced 1 rank4 4/5 for another one. I used gem power to upgrade my hilt of many realms. Funny I was able to infuse and awaken my blood soaked jade back with just 64 gem power I had leftover. Now I can extract 225 out of it lol. Yea this bug is wild. Im affraid to switch other gems out cuz I dont have enough gem power to keep me going in the mean time. They owe me 225 gem power. Hope they fix it soon.
there is no bug here you are just not understanding how the newer reso gem system works
I constantly swap gems between pvp/pve builds. They never go dormant when I replace them and it didnt kick back the gem power either. Its clearly bugged.
I just had the same problem this evening. I found a temporary solution to the bug. My problem was a rank, six frozen heart that I swapped out with a rank one pain clasp. When I was done with battlegrounds and went to switch back to the ranks, frozen, it became dormant all of a sudden. The only thing that seem to temporary fix it was going into the awaken section and putting gems in there. No longer is dormant as of now.
