Issue started approx 48 hours ago. I had one or two random crashes while playing. Then, yesterday, I crashed twice in fairly quick succession. Once while in a vault run, once walking around Westmarch. I closed out of the game for a few hours.
When I went back it became a succession of crashes. I could start up the game, walk around a bit and it’d crash to desktop. I’d restart the game, and it’d immediately do it again. After two or three tries it stopped even getting to that point. It’d crash before the login screen, and I could hear the music but the game wouldn’t display at all. My screen would flicker, and then it’d crash.
At that point I attempted a scan and repair, but was given a “something went wrong error” with that. I tried a fresh restart, no change. I made sure it was the only thing running on my PC, no change. All of my drivers and OS are up to date. I started Diablo 4, no issues. No issues with BO6 either.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. After reinstall it allowed me enough time to log in, go into my settings before it crashed again. It appears to be running at only a few frames a second. It will not allow any “repair” action to take place.
Game is currently unplayable for me. Ticket has been filed.
EDIT: Don’t bother with a tech support ticket.
Reaching out to our Blizzard player community through the tech support forums or other gaming communities could lead to a solution, as other players may have faced and resolved a similar situation.
Additionally, consulting with a local computer or network specialist could provide fresh insight. They may uncover something that isn’t immediately visible on our end, giving you another path toward a resolution.
I know this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for, but I’m rooting for you and genuinely hope you’re able to clear this up soon.
What is the point of tech support ticket if they’re just going to tell you to ask other players on the forum? Also, “rooting for me?” Hey, thanks, I wasn’t mad before.
