Why are the moderators actually so inactive and do not respond to a single post?

back in my days at the D3 times, at least every 10th post was commented or an info given out, why is it nowadays impossible to give a statement from himself on grievances?

The company is too big to care about it’s community

happens to the best of them but yet isn’t this game a live service?

Yes, isn’t the store updated?

even right now are the moderators in D3 more active than in D4 actually

Because 99% of all posts are negative. What could they possibly say …?

Did you say Blizzard Moderators?

What are those?

OH, the automated moderators that suspend you for silly things?

You want to see if the moderators exist? Type in some swear words.

Auto moderation. Get enough flags and you’re banned. No matter if your comment or post deserved the flag.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen moderators active.

The MVPs aren’t moderators in the sense you are thinking.

why would you need moderators if everyone is kissing as and singing kumaya?

just sometimes give a statement if someone “want to talk to the manager”

Sometimes it would be nice for some blues to chime in, it makes for a much more interactive community, and sometimes they can clear stuff up where we as players are discussing endlessly about.

Tell me about it. Even worse, I submitted a bug yesterday that was blatantly obvious and there was no response at all. LMAO. One more game for the recycle bin…

The same reason there are no in game GMs anymore in wow, the same reason why if you call any company it’s so hard to get through to a real person, the same way when you go to stores now you have to use self checkout -

Profits first.
Nobody gives a crap about how consumers or customers feel anymore.

Companies charge outrageous prices for below average products and services.

Customer pays 100% for a service, gets 60% of the service or the incorrect service or product or a subpar version of what they are supposed to get.

Customer complains they aren’t getting what they paid for.

Customer is the villain and gets called a “Karen”.

CEO of said company buys his second 250 million dollar Yacht so he has a spare when the other one is being washed.

CEO laughs at all the poor people calling each other names.

Lemmings line up and continue to buy over priced garbage.

That’s Capitalism.

I remember awhile back alot of mods on the wow forums got laid off after people had fits. Lot of ‘i can’t believe you are wasting your time on the forums, you have a game to make’ ‘a mod shouldn’t talk like that to paying customers’ now mods only appear there to respond to a 10k upvoted question.

This is actually something that changed yeearrrrsss ago. If you have been active on any blizzard forums in the last 15 years you would see the decline. I cant remember exactly when it happened but i recall there was a time when they were very active.

If i had to guess, Mods were being harassed a lot. Like death threats, etc. i dont blame them, would you want to reply to some of these psychos on the forums? Only to have them track your twitter, IG, FB and basically push you into social media hiding? For I’m guessing not a lot of money. Some people take video games more seriously than their own childrens welfare.

I bug reported the Duriel camera bug two days after launch.

Still not fixed, the thread yesterday about someone complaining about it was hilarious to me.

Forum Moderators are part of the CS team and handle reports from all the Blizzard forums. They enforce the Code of Conduct.

The Community Managers never ever replied every 10th post. Ever. I was there (on the forums, not at Blizzard) and knew them personally.

Blizzard has a long term issue with active communications. Around 2018 or 2019 they switched to posting only news, patch notes, hotfix notes, announcements. They collect feedback but do not engage here.

You won’t be seeing any change unless Blizzard changes their entire policy on it. You can read a well though out discussion of it all in yesterday’s thread on CMs and communications.

Start here and spend a bit reading.

Again, the Moderators enforce the Code of Conduct. The CMs are the SAME PEOPLE for all Diablo games. There is no difference in current people or policy.

The last pinned post is not even from the Diablo team. It is from Vrakthris who is a CS Forum Support Agent. You normally find him here Customer Support - World of Warcraft Forums He is awesome, but not part of the Diablo team. He was commenting on forum policy.
