I think what’s more likely is that these ladies were forced into doing something they probably didn’t want to do. I don’t think I’d be all too enthusiastic if I was being used by my boss as a tool for saving face. They probably just want to keep working on the game and making it better, not playing the game in a haphazard fashion to clean up the mistakes corporate inflicted on itself by forcing the game out earlier than it should have been.
Tin foil hat time: The diversity quota jokes are the reason they’re there. Blizzard is throwing them under the bus, so that they can blame D4’s fall from grace on “right wing internet hate squads” or some absurdity like that.
Same thing that happened when the diversity squad ghostbusters remake released.

I mean, the dude’s a streamer, yes, so theoretically he could make money streaming NOT blizzard stuff. He probably does. I don’t follow him so I wouldn’t know.
But what I DO know is that he’s KNOWN for streaming blizzard stuff. Or at least he was in the past. Sometimes you gotta stick to what butters your bread.
Rowling tried to move beyond HP, look where that got her. Similar concept in my mind. I don’t blame Asmon for coming back to the hand that feeds him.

This video could actually be a 4D chess move for damage control. To try to make the blowback from this game and OverWatch 2 all about “evil hateful anti LGBTQ right wingers persecuting and review bombing”, etc. And try to rally support that way.

Honestly I just feel bad the art team. They crush it over and over and over again only to be met half way with the final product that is the game systems, loop, dev choices or non choices etc etc that is just tone deft. POE season cant come soon enough.
