There is no game after level 50

Game is finished by 65, maybe 70 if your rng sucks.

I agree world scaling feels bad. Not only does it feel bad but it makes respeccing very annoying since if you haven’t saved up a complete set of gear for whatever you respec into you wont really be able to kill stuff.

Maybe, just maybe, if folks would have been more truthful about the endgame loop in the pre-release, this whole “do your homework” thing could be valid. But nope, white knights kept saying they “can’t wait for the end game”. Turns out the end game is garbage, as more people continue to find out.

Somehow they took concepts from D3 and made them worse. Astonishing.

Everything about D4 is better than that trash dumpster fire of a game called D3. Blizzard said the gameplay loop was going to follow the same gameplay loop of classical dungeon crawlers, which it does. Can it be further improved? Of course.

D3 is the abomination arcade spin-off version of dungeon crawlers and Diablo games. Honestly don’t understand how people can critique this game with D3 OF ALL GAMES as a reference. It’s so laughable.

Your commentary is exactly what I’m talking about - you muddy the waters and the truth is that this end game is the worst end game I’ve ever seen in this genre. It’s objectively worse than D3 end game.

You put out this false info and then berate people for saying they dislike it, and tell them they “should have done their homework”.

Maybe they are going to but they don’t want to make it unto the mess that PoE usually does every season.

PoE has some great boss fights. PoE is also very exclusive in its end game. very few people ever see these bosses let alone beat them. I’m not a great player by any means and I don’t go crazy on min-maxing. I play until its not fun. My Cyclone Slayer and RF Jugg are super fun. I have a little over 1,500 hours in PoE and I have seen Uber Atziri once.

is that my fault? Absolutely, because I don’t dedicate the hundreds of hours trying to min-max a build down to a single stat to then try and hunt for the specific things I need in the extensive pool of RNG that PoE has.

I hop back in every few months and run some maps to see what has changed. Then I usually get one-shot by something I didn’t see (or couldn’t see because of the mess on the screen), lose all the experience I had been earning for the last couple of hours, and log off for a few more months.

For me, just removing that experience penalty would be enough to keep PoE as my main game (or remove the offscreen, unseen RIPs but that is less likely to happen).

Hopefully, we will see some more end-game/pinnacle/uber bosses in D4. We will just have to wait and see.

Blizzard put out tons and tons of pre-release info. Like stupid amounts and hours long videos. They explicitly said this game was going back to the classical dungeon crawler gameplay and abandoning all the goofy arcadey crap of D3, and it’s actually not too different than pre-LOD D2.

You just can’t accept that this isn’t D3. That’s fine. You can go back to playing D3 with the other 500 people that actually play it beyond the first few days of every season.

lol

YOU HAVE 50 LEVELS OF CONTENT TO DO!!! ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED??? THIS IS THE GOLDEN AGE OF AAA GAMING!

10/10 MASTERPIECE!

A pièce de résistance of Blizzard game play!

Insert Nelson laugh meme
You can only blame yourself for paying that much. Next time you maybe re-evaluate how much you are willing to pay for a product you never really saw.

There is a point to a game, this one has no point.

I just got to 50 and having so much fun in world tier 3

It was priced at that for fair market pricing since it was made for cross console play, and console games are at 70 dollars on average. If they only charged 40 dollars the other companies involved in allowing it on their product and server lanes would have had legal issues with it.

Also im at level 72 now and just got to the second zone svartlgen or whatever its called. Been in fractured peaks finishing all the quests and finding things and running dungeons with my brothers. So far I have absolutely gotten my moneys worth. Bear druid ftw!

When the game is sold as 30-40 hours of campaign, and all you get is 10, then you are being lied to. Massive difference. We also hear “Play your way.” which also turned out to be a lie.

Absolutely spot on… I really cant stress enough how stupid Diablo 4’s development was and how lackluster its delivery was… My goodness, after this Blizzard is dead to me as a company, unless they overhaul Diablo 4 in a major way, and I’m talking No Mans Sky levels of overhaul. I see no reason to return to any of blizzards games unless its for nostalgia purposes.

Except that it’s not that way. So bringing up this hypothetical situation to make the game sound worse than it is, is just stupid.

the campaign has never been the point of this game.

like, we had a campaign in previous diablo titles and all we did was find ways to avoid it at all costs.

seriously. thats what everyone wanted, to avoid it at all costs.

anyway, i dont think you can get perfect rare item rolls and perfect aspect rolls at level 50, so you really arent done.

Actually the game starts at 50, it’s your choice of things to do. Hope you change your mind and keep playing.

There are always those people that move the goal post on when the game begins. They tell you it starts at 50. Then they’ll tell you it starts at 75 when you complain that at 50 there is nothing. Then when you get to 75 and complain, they’ll tell you endgame starts at 100. ALL the white knights do it. They will also claim no one says this, yet there are several examples in this very thread of those same people saying those exact words.

It is sad that the game gets worse the more you play it, kinda the opposite of an arpg. I keep falling off in the 70s then re rolling, as 1-50 is just more rewarding better progress builds change and you actually get items that change your build at those levels.

If you’re not a fan of purely making number go up, you picked the wrong genre my friend.
