get a torso with +total armor, dam reduction, dam reduction to close, dam reduction to distance/dam reduction when injured and slot in disobedience aspect (you gain 0.50% armor upto 40-50% every time you deal damage) and you can face tank him
Sounds like the issue is between the keyboard and chair at this point.

I’ve killed him like 10-15 times since i started playing, died only once to it because he appeared at the worst moment where i literally got locked in place by an elite pack and did indeed get deleted for my mistakes.
But after that i’ve killed it 100% of the times with no issue on my Barbarian.
So it ain’t really cheated as far im aware. Might be time to rethink your gear, because as far i can see, even if you are wearing full legendary gear, that doesn’t mean it’s any good either lol.
Found it pretty fun when it started to run, he didn’t run away during beta lol.
I owe that sob, Butcher! I was beating him in a tier 34 nightmare dungeon with Lightning Storm affix, and his @#$%% @##, at about 20 percent health, ran away. I go into the barrier to protect against Lightning Storm, and that @#$%#@$%^&*# pulled me out of it and stunned me. Regrettably, I was one shot by the Lightning Storm affix, because I wasn’t at full health… 
From now on, The Butcher’s name is Morty. 
When i’m facerolling pretty much everything else I run into easily… but that one thing just kills me with feeling like i have zero chance to beat it… that’s an issue with that one mob. If I was struggling all over the place, you’d have a point. But i’m facerolling everything else.
The Butcher killed me like 3 times on my druid. I don’t see any possible way to solo him on druid early game even in tier 1. Druid just doesn’t do enough single target. If I had been playing HC I would’ve ran away for sure. I finally started beating him in late tier 2 and tier 3.
I agree the difficulty is far apart but thats because everything else is face roll easy.
lol thanks for the chuckle, the lightning storm affix is an easy one until it isnt. i always seem to get feared out of it but thankfully i play necro at mo with blood mist so i just pop it to become an invulnerable lightning rod.

This is a player issue. If you alone are facing this issue as stated by other people and myself included who has dealt with him like 5-6 times now. If you’re getting deleted in 1 hit thats a build/gear/resource management problem.
Skill issue. He killed me the first time. I killed him every time since then. Found him like 7 or 8 times.
Im a sorcerer btw.
I mean you are a sorcerer who’s has more range than my barb. I have to run after the damn bastard when he decide to run and then i have to go back to hitting him at full shield EVERY… GOD… DAMN… TIME
I’d believe a sorcerer with ranged skill would actually have a much easier time than i ever would lol.
Anyway the butcher cleaver he can drop is total garbage lol.

I tend to agree, it’s more annoying than fun. I get the feeling he’s there to remind people that they really shouldn’t be pushing nightmare dungeons 30+ levels higher than their level and to humble them. But that’s why you have 4 deaths.
That said, there are some hilarious moments too. Like the other day I was approaching a protection shrine just as I heard the telltale rattling chains and “fresh meat.” I was like: come get rekt then, bih! Gave him a taste of his own medicine.

I’ve had no issues with Butcher ever since T3 & T4. Early on he got me though.

I just picture you standing having a slugfest not dodge or trying to avoid any attacks just standing still thinking you are going to out stat check the butcher. Your just not good at video games and thats fine.
No i was running and teleporting my butt off. I did not try to face tank him.
