I’m terrible at games but i’m usually the best in my group dps wise. However the game dressed me like a female and it hasn’t changed. My damage hasn’t improved but appears to be worse. The legendaries i have are all useless except 1 of them and drops appear to be getting worse not better. I am however almost invincible but battles are long due to damage. I’m having fun as campaign is good but i don’t feel like logging in anymore.

its why they have hundreds of posts ona forum because they have noone to talk to in real life. they think friends are people who you talk to on discord while you game, you do you bud.
… Then try a higher level NM Dungeon with a higher level Butcher, so he’ll die the same way.
If you’re able to kill The Butcher, then you’re able to run higher level NM Dungeons.
Spare me the fake attitude of imagined superiority. It’s not a “woe is me”. It’s “i’m facerolling through everything else in this game but this ONE thing shows up and it’s impossible” - this thing is overtuned.

I think the goal of the Butcher was to not be face roll easy though. It was supposed to be an oh crap moment early on. Its ok if not 100% of the content is face roll.

Hell and here i find video of sorc literally face tanking him. Clearly you are doing something wrong and that’s about it or you are running nightmares that are too high lvl for you. But after that without really any information on your character and or even seeing a video of your attempt.

Certain low level classes or builds I have struggled with him in WT2 but I can face tank him with my Sever Necro in WT4 and last night my minions necro in WT3 got him down with no issue. Didn’t even have to run around a pillar.

I’ve never died to the butcher even in level 50+ Tier nightmare sigils. From you post it sounds like you’re playing hardcore? So I guess I understand your frustration if that’s the case but at that point I’d say play softcore so none of that matters. And if you’re playing softcore then idk what to tell you
Lv88 character played by the 1st guy who ever beat Inferno D3 playing a 45 NM Dungeon is the best proof of you being wrong.
I’ll be honest. The first time I encountered The Butcher, he completely kicked my asterisk. I wasn’t expecting him and he just mowed me over. But I’ve now killed him 3 times. He still comes out of nowhere. He’s not immune to slow mechanics, so you can slow him down, use corners, use pillars. He’s tough, but not unkillable. And at least IMHO, it isn’t your damage output that is able to kill him, it’s your damage reduction and ability to move around quickly. Sure, there are specs and videos showing people killing him in 4 seconds, but who cares. The goal is to kill him. Just take your time, stay alive, and just piecemeal him down. Good luck.
Early on he’s annoying, but you can leash him, later on he’s a joke. At any rate he drops a tiny butchers cleaver that looks like a gag gift and pooh legendary items.
So killing him is a waste of time, amount other wastes of time this game provides.
