I have posted this fix all over about gauntlet but decided to make a post just for it.
How to actually fix Gauntlet:
Split the gauntlet into 2 types of FIXED and OPEN. This gives all players a chance to compete. All players have an avenue to perfect their own build and eventually compete in OPEN while competing in FIXED the entire time. Many more builds can compete now that OPEN is based on tier 100 dungeon and not tier 70.
OPEN is what we have now but it would be changed to Tier 100 dungeon. This prevents players from just only focusing on speed. Now survivability and damage will matter more and all these are balanced: speed, damage, survivability. Chests and shrines left as is for a more complicated experience.
- Meant for the best geared characters in ubers, level 100, best 4/4 gear with shrine duration, best complicated routes, ect.
FIXED is a new addition. Fixed means all your gear, paragon, skills, items, aspects are all chosen for you. Only your path and skill matter. Bliz can make this dungeon whatever level they choose. If the chosen build is weak make it tier 50 and if it is strong make it tier 80. Truely fair here. Chests and shrines simplified for an easier experience.
- Meant for everyone. No longer need ubers, level 100, 4/4 gear, ect. No longer need to farm extra sets of speed or shrine duration gear. No longer need a different paragon board or skill setup. No longer need extra complicated calculus routing.
I think this solves 95% of gauntlet issues. What do you guys think?
