Server Queue; Refund Please

How long have you been playing Blizzard games? If you don’t think this is going to happen again, to an even larger degree on June 6th, you’re delusional. That’s the problem: Blizzard has all the resources to avoid this but it never does. For 20 years now, I’ve played their games. And for 20 years, they have never figured out how to run a beta or launch without abusing players with arbitrary queue times. Probably because some fool 20 years ago said, “let’s just force players to do this for a few days so we can farm their suffering for data” or something.

OW2 all over again.

I was an every day player for the last few years, I haven’t touched the game in at least a month now.

D3, same situation.

I’ve played d2 for 20 years. No one wants this game to succeed more than me. I paid, I’ve waited, get your sh…act together blizz and let me play.

Been way more than an hour now bro.

me who just ate a chicken sammich: ( ゜─゜)

They should’ve learned from WoW, every WoW expansion, WoW Classic, Diablo 3, Overwatch, etc etc. You have to either be a troll or a serious boot licker because there’s no way any person is this ignorant.

I’ve crashed multiple times and have been sent back into the hour queue screen. I get that this is the beta test so it’s not going to be a flawless product, but come on now. This isn’t even playable. I’d be completely shocked if they had no idea this would be a scenario. Next time Blizzard should probably just be honest and say that their early access game might not be playable for the majority of people. Asking a minimum of 70$ from your fans just to offer a product that isn’t even playable is pretty scummy.

They aren’t going to give refunds. I won’t be asking for a refund. I’m just not going to preorder a blizzard game again.

I wait 80 mins to get in the first time.

I play for roughly 20 minutes, most of it looking through character customization options.

I get error 316719.

I spend 30 mins trying to start a game or create a character, always code 316719.

I close the game and relaunch, back in que for 120 minutes.

I wait the entire time. Suddenly, another error code and the whole game crashes.

I relaunch to get another 60 minute que.

There’s one minute left. Wish me luck.

I can not stress this enough… ahem

Q…Q

I waited 3x 120 mins and clicked on “start game” and the game put me in another que, it says start game pending, in queue to start…

Haha, all you people who expect a seamless experience in a pre-beta version are completely lost. Stop feeling so entitled if you are participating in early access.

You bought a game, it releases in June. You are given early access with the sole purpose of providing feedback. You can choose not to play until the final version is ready, but if you are willing to try out the early access, then expect server issues and bugs lower your expectations and stop moaning. :joy:

Yeah those KFC customers are paying customers lol.

The primary incentive for me to purchase the above $70 options was this beta test weekend.

The reality is people shouldn’t have to pay for beta testing. I can understand paying for a official launch head start but to have to pay for this beta test is stupid.

Only reason I won’t refund is because I will still be playing the 4 day head start. If there is still an issue there I will be a little upset then. I would rather have realistic ques vs getting to the end of a que and getting error 30008…

Wasted time waiting for nothing, don’t feel encouraged to keep trying to login either.

If I can’t log on during the 4 day head start period I will get a refund and avoid playing for a few months till people get bored because do any of you really expect them to be able to launch a game of this demand and it work for everyone all at once? I don’t.

Fair. So what do you suggest? A beta beta? Beta test the beta before the beta starts so that you can treat the beta not like a beta but rather like an early access?

As for when I started, I started with Warcraft 2, and yeah you make a great point, Blizzard used to treat Betas not like an actual beta but rather as a demo. That got a lot of people to think “beta” meant “release candidate demo” instead of “testing”. As someone who’s played Blizzard games for nearly thirty years, here’s hoping people try the betas of other companies and realize that beta doesn’t mean game demo. Fingers crossed. <3

Do you know what boot licker means?

No, of course not.

Regardless, if you didn’t want to be part of the testing, wait until the game releases on June 6th.

(This is why open beta is so bad. Blizzard has conditioned people to think that beta is just early access, or worse, a demo of the game…)

Yea, the beta we paid for and they dont know what to do… they are not even honest or have the balls to say “we f@#ked up, we have no solution right now so we will just let some people play and change the priority later” or something like that… ive tested and the whole thing about errors are “account related”… someone that can play the game can log in from any computer, join queue and still play while you will see the same error screen and get back to queue.

So yea, great beta… “stahp moaning” about something you paid.

Lmao you’re so ignorant, it’s kinda impressive. I wish all of my customers were like you so I could sell them broken crap and have them still praise and defend me. Blizzard LOVES fools like yourself.

Thanks! Blizzard, Microsoft, Valve, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Capcom, Tencent, Bungie, Konami, etc, all are so very ignorant, just like myself, since we know the difference between really access and a beta unlike you. <3

Here’s hoping your customers know how to do a charge back, since you seem to have issues with understanding the difference between an early release vs a beta test, let alone how you would do a refund…

Wait…you paid for the beta?

Man, I got it for free when I bought the standard edition. You need to go to whatever third party site ripped you off…

I bought the ultimate version, I’ve been trying since the servers opened and every time I pass the 90 minute queue my game crashes

If you bought the standard game and they offered you “beta access march 17th” as a plus FOR BUYING THE GAME, you paid for that. Come on youre prob not that dumb.

-edit: adding the buying the game part, just to make sure.
