Season 3 reloaded. Vaults redesigned. 🔃

Season 3 reloaded. An essay into how this S3 could have went.

1] Traps removal. Imagine there are no traps. This is negative gameplay. We are going to focus on positive gameplay. Vaults are also too close to dungeons.

2] Vault Redesign. Vaults are perilous adventures requiring Zoltun Kuls buff to hope to win. Vaults also progress past 100 allowing adventurers to brave the hardest content imaginable and be rewarded so.

3] New Zultun Kul Tile Buff. The buff is the main focus of this area. The buff gives your character immense power. This works by earning permanent tiles you can place in a 3 by 6 board. These tiles have rarity and colors. You cannot use the same tile more than once. Tiles drop from the vault. Players start with a basic set of tiles.

Zultun Tile examples:
Rare - Red Mighty Compass Tile: Each Tile this connects to gives you 5-10 STR. Double if it is a red tile.
Rare - Purple Lateral Power Tile - Tiles to the left and right have 75-100% more effect. Purple tiles count as red and blue tiles.
Rare - White Mediation Tile - Gain 1-4 all stats for each tile with the same color. You can have 3 of these in your grid.
Legendary - Blue Umbral Tile - Crowd controlling an enemy grants 1 resource for each blue tile in the same row.
Legendary - Green Faith Tile - Shrines have 3-5% increased duration for each green tile. At 50% + duration your shrines turn poison damage into resource.
Unique - Black Dark Pact Tile - Tiles in this row counts as BLACK. Your ultimate also restores your health and resource, breaks CC, and has reduced CD% equal to your black tiles.
UBER Unique - RED JOKER - Your grid works in all areas of the game and not just the vault. Each joker has a different set of attacks and powers according to his or her color. Lucky Hit: 25% Chance to summon the joker for 6-12s. The joker counts as a minion, companion, ect.
Your grid can only contain 1 uber unique tile. These drop from 101+ vaults with more chance the closer you get to 200.

The buff provided by these tiles is always on while in a vault but not other areas.

4] Additional Vault Highlights
A] Vaults have secret rooms. These can be found with lighting all torches in a room or stepping on invisible pressure plates, illusionary walls, ect. The rooms contain treasure with high chances for tiles.
B] Vaults can have dark rooms. These rooms you need to light torches to see. These are in the corners of the room.
C] Vaults always contain at least 1-3 shrines with a chance at golden shrines. Golden shrines last 3 times as long. Cursed golden shrines drop 1 tile.
D] Vaults can have magical springs. These heal you to full and give you 100% more life for the current room and next 3 rooms or until you die and drop 1 elixir.
E] Death in a Vault spawns you in the previous room which is locked (cant change it). Just go through the door again to proceed.
F] Vaults doors can be cursed. Each door has a chance to be cursed. Cursed doors will open 1 time and let extra monsters enter your room. This has a chance to occur every 5 seconds while elites are left alive in the current room. This doesnt reduce the monsters in the next room. Cursed doors cannot be rerolled.
G] Vaults can have rooms that are all elites.
H] Vaults can have boss rooms with multiple bosses.
I] Vaults can have mimic chests. These have a very high health pool.
J] Vaults can have tile chests and tile goblins.

5] Vault rooms. You build your own vault by choosing doors. Each room has 1-3 exits and each door has a rarity and describes the next room.

Each vault has an objective when you enter at random that you will try and go for in and it could be related to your overall design but not always. Each room will not lead you to a room you have already been in.

You can reroll each door 1 time for free and then 1 more time with a pearl.

The vault exit door appears as a choice if you reach the max number of rooms for your chosen vault as you can choose how big your vault will be. Smaller vaults have less rewards and some objectives will be skipped. IF you lead your vault into a dead end you will gain an automatic portal door.
Tiny - 3
Small - 6
Medium - 9
Large -12
Huge - 15
Massive - 18
