The others are by and large boring, tedious, and unrewarding. Bringing them inline with trash just means all dungeons will be trash in the end.
I really donāt want to play POE2 when it comes out cause god their skill system is atrocious, donāt do this to me Blizzard and push your players/buyers/fans away to other companies.
Agree. If i want to walk around and do some site seeing i propebly be better of outside in mother nature and not play this empty game.
I donāt post often, if ever.
I would consider myself an average player, I have a job, I go to bed, I eat food and occasional I actually go outside and enjoy the sunshine.
So dungeonās like this offered me a reasonable progression rate.
But if we are to ignore the experience and item rewards, itās just plain fun.
Having dense mobs, with extra mobās teleporting on your head, its intense and honestly the most fun Iāve had in world tier 3.
The world eventās are fun, but you have to wait for them to appear, so having a dungeon which offerās an intense, fun experience whilst you wait, was good.
Some times design mistakes can be good, if you have a bunch of people hanging outside one particular dungeon, then Iād argue that dungeon is a successā¦ one that should be replicated across all dungeonās.
I want dungeons to be hard, I want the fear of death, and the nightmare dungeons just donāt appeal to me, I have to farm a key for them, and then i got a bunch of mods that change it, mostly in ways Iām not that interested in.
Please let me have fun.
I could not have agreed more. I never ever post on the forums, and my D4 experience today made me do it. Buff the density. A lot of my friends are even quitting as we speak, since the game is too long, not diverse enough and simply not fun. The only fun thing is massive packs with great drops and easy XP grind (glass cannon / high risk high reward setting). Make it so.
As an example: The Archive dungeon Iāve just ran on Torment difficuly. This dungeon with the objective ākill all enemiesā. Thereās nothing to kill, literally. Every new room there are like 6 new normal mobs, which oppose no threat whatsoever? Are you guys at blizzard even playing the game or test things before nerfing the density?
Moreover, since there is nothing to kill, the most fun spec for me as Barb is non viable. The unbridled rage talent requires high density and a lot of hits/kills per second to make it viable. Sad and not fun to play this game after these nerfs.
Good for the people who are going to continue playing then.
But doubt iāll touch the game much after sunday.
Had 3 weeks off to play it, dono if i have time to play it when going back to work
Iām all for it, but make dungeon cooldown an hour or a day, not a minute. Or give me an incentive to run another dungeon instead of running the same one over and over. āBecause I said soā is not an incentive.
This is what happens when you publicly post the best way to do something.
An alarm goes off in Blizzard HQ.
It startles a half asleep dev.
FUN DETECTED!!!
ALL HANDS ON DECK!
Because being able to get 10 million experience per hour was ātotallyā intended and obviously not bugged and resulting in people trivializing the levelling experience to 100.
Seriously, how can you people sit there and act outraged/surprised when Blizzard fixes exploits, then rag on them when someone else exploits something that you donāt like or you find a bug that inconveniences you?
Ohhh Blizzardā¦ we want higher density and not lower density. what were you thinkingā¦ dont nerf this only good dungeon ā¦ better buff the other dungeons. Too much walking - to less fighting. the solution is so easy but you make a mystery out of it.
The problem is when you have a āfun experience farmā, a large number of players - far larger than Blizz is comfortable with - will determine that the one dungeon thatās got the highest density is the only viable way to level and everything else is a waste of time. Then theyāll hit level 70, 80, 90ā¦ and burn out and stop playing and make posts about how thereās no end game and how thereās nothing to do but farm instances.
Blizzardās mistake was making dungeons endlessly repeatable with no cooldown. If you could only run each dungeon once daily, that would have been a step in the right direction.
If the Nightmare dungeons arenāt netting you a decent chunk of xp up until the mid 80s, youāre running too low of tiers. The mobs should be at least 10 levels higher than you. If your build canāt handle it, take it back to the drawing board. If you still canāt put it together, you shouldnāt expect to level as fast as the people who can.
Farming the same dungeon over and over again like an autist and then crying about it when itās nerfed is some serious brainrot. Some questionable creatures are REALLY trying hard to turn this into PoE and D3-like vomit, Iām extremely thankful to Blizzard that theyāre not letting them do so.
Undeniably, I am in complete agreement. Ever since the recent adjustments, the dungeons have lost their former allure, veering into a realm of tedium and monotony. The once exhilarating pursuit of valuable loot has been considerably diminished, leaving me disheartened by the underwhelming spoils. Furthermore, the density of hostile creatures within these subterranean labyrinths has drastically declined, resulting in an insipid and lackluster experience. As a passionate gamer, it is disconcerting to find myself confined to the outskirts of town, contemplatively musing over the dissonance between the $70 investment made into this game and its actual worth, which appears to align more closely with a modest valuation of $20.
You seem to spend more time on the forums than actually playing the game. Enough said
OK so letās lay out the actual problem here which all boils down to no tried and true way to level at a decent speed.
1 - Many dungeons have low mob density which makes it so it takes you longer to have even less experience as they will be spread out and have to find them.
2 - Elites give the most experience and drops but when you find clumps of them and Blizzard finds out, they get eliminated.
3 - Dungeon bosses give no incentive to kill. The experience they provide is negligible and the drops are even less inspiring.
4 - Nightmare dungeons provide all I listed above but just increase the difficulty with annoying affixes.
All players want is a degree of experience that you can actually notice with a few items thrown in that have a possibility of being better than what you have.
Even the running simulator called Death Stranding was better then this.
Some may say do other activities. OK so letās look at those quickly.
1 - Side quests are pointless. You could do 20 of them and still not get one bubble of experience. Oh joy I get some minerals or gemsā¦
2 - Go play in a Helltide! OK, Iāll run around aimlessly trying to kill everything I find for some gems to open a random chest that has a tiny chance of giving you something of substance. Oh and on the way you may get stun locked and lose half the gems.
3 - Whisper of the dead! Almost the same as above but now includes completing small quests to obtain grim favors. Turn them into the tree for a chance at maybe getting 1 legendary you probably canāt use anyhow and a little experience.
Getting to 50 is easy but doing anything after that becomes a chore with little reward. I have enough of those around the house.
Was trying to find patch notes that claimed said nerf but Iāll be damned if I can even find a link to their patch notes, the usual place was on the launcher but its not there and not anywhere I searched on diablo4 dot com.
See the thread linked below.
