I kinda agree with you, I also wouldn’t call this P2W, I have Ultimate edition, HOWEVER: I 100% think they should have postpone this race till first season. That way no one could really complain.

Time equates power, the more time a player has the more power they can accumulate, this isn’t a hard logic to follow.
Provide a player with more time than another and that player will accomulate more power for the single fact he had more time.
This is literally selling power and giving a straight up advantage to people who pay.

Pay to Win in this situation would have meant that you pay for an unfair advantage over every other player that starts the competition with you. An advantage no other player could overcome with skill, experience or time. You are literally paying your way into a win. PAY TO WIN.
Man, seriously. Its obvious that the majority of people dont understand what Pay to Win means. The definition got butchered into such vagueness that even buying skins can count as Pay to Win, because you have an advantage over skin collectors that dont use real money.

look moaners, for all everybody cares blizzos could have put up a prize of 1 billion dollars for first guy to reach lev 100 softcore… and it still wouldn’t be p2w lol. p2w refers to power ingame. whatever outside game, is irrelevant. and that’s it. no matter how high and long you cry… no p2w. you are only looking for an excuse to claim it’s others fault if you aren’t going to make it since deep inside, you already know none of you is going to be up there. just as all of us know. just like at good ole ashava times. forrr the hoooorn!

With that logic, someone who has to go work on site sonewhere full time can accuse anyone who works remote and can play while working of paying to win, since the remote worker has more time to play.

Last i checked, this was the D4 forum.
That is exactly that, this is like starting a marathon but people who paid get to start the marathon 4 days early.
The fact you don’t consider this P2W is baffling and shows you know very little of the concept of it.
This feedback would be more productive if you said, “Ultimate edition is unfair,” instead of, “Ultimate edition is P2W,” because people can’t agree on the definition of P2W. It normally means swiping your credit card for items and power, not early access to the game. It’s mostly like the contest is first come first serve, and if you pay $30 you have an advantage in the contest.
TLDR
You could argue that its Pay to Win Contest, but not Pay to Win Game. P2W usually refers to the latter,

Who is paying anything in this scenario? This logic fails either actually make a compelling argument or stop wasting time cluttering up the thread.
I cannot wait for the game to launch, but right now some of the nonsense on the forum is the best show intown.

Seriously now, why do you care? If you are a content creator, or you want to compete others, leaderboards etc, only then I kinda understand to buy the expensive version for the early access.
But…… season doesn’t start at launch so why does it matter to you if others will start 4 days, 4 DAYS!!! Before you and the rest of us?
In one month, it won’t even matter who started before or at launch….

This is ridiculous, but everyone is entitled to believe what they want i guess. The prices points were not P2W when you factor in battle pass. Season 1 is not being released at launch so your point is irrelevant.
