This is a Pve game not a Pvp game, stop forcing yourself on to others like a child predator.
The thing is, they factually were made with pvp in mind. Diablo 2 was made with the intent that there would be pvp hence they made a whole system for it. It was built around Battle.net and multiplayer.
The point is Starcraft and Warcraft were built for pvp. They added the OPTION to play against AI knowing full well the majority of people would be engaging in PvP.
I don’t think anyone should be forced to do pvp to progress the story but if they want pvp exclusive items then they shouldn’t be able to opt out of pvp and still have access to those items.
“Source? My source is I made it the **** up!”
Weird. I figured Starcraft was made with the lengthy single-player campaign that they shipped the game with, considering it wasn’t an always online game. Same with Warcraft.
Honestly it was pretty bold of Blizzard to lock Warcraft: Orcs & Humans to online PvP only back in 1994 for MS-DOS. They are truly pioneers.
It’s okay to just say “I think it should be mandatory because I want it to be.” Nobody is going to yell at you for it. You’re allowed to have that opinion. You don’t have to mask it under layers.
The creator’s themselves in interviews about the games.
Wrong.
You were not forced to PvP in 2 in public games, and they did not think about greifing in 1 because it was a earlier time for online gaming.
Sad that PvP troglodytes need to lie to make their points work.
Yes, you were. You can’t stop someone from going hostile on you in Diablo 2 and you cannot turn off pvp.
In Diablo 1 you didn’t even get to know when someone could pvp you. You just had to hope they didn’t.
The way I see it - you dont want to PvP with people that want to PvP - you just want to PK non-pvp’rs.

Sure you can. They cant invade me in a solo game.
And so that makes the game primarily PvP?
Sure, if you ignore the entire story and loot drops.
Keep stretching.
Never said it was primarily pvp. It was made with pvp in mind to the fact that they made a whole system around it.
It’s like saying Guild Wars is not a pvp game. There is an entire mode dedicated to just PVP.
No. I shouldn’t be forced to interact with you if I don’t want to. Period.
You also should not be allowed to get PVP exclusive gear without doing PVP.
I am generally against any forced multiplayer in an ARPG. But as the game is now, having FoH opt in only just defeats the whole purpose. The whole system could be scrapped at this point and PVP just made into LFG queue instance stuff.
What purpose is that though? Griefing battleground or consensual PvP? Anyone that chooses to PvP can opt in. If they arent opting in then obviously there isnt enough interest in actual pvp on equal footing with like minded players.
You want pvp? Move to a pvp arena. Nobody should forced into something he absolutely do not want. Many players hate pvp like the set dungeons in D3 and i am pretty sure Blizzard is not interested in angry customers who quit the game because of this. Those people do not buy in the eshop anymore…
If you have to force people to do something in a video game, maybe it isn’t a good mechanic.
PvP belongs in it own arena, not in the open world.
LOL. no. if you want to grief people, go play a game for griefers.
Because the whole system was presented as this dangerous pvp zone that you are opting in by clicking your mouse and walking there. That’s your opt-in.
I do not want pvp at all. I think it’s a bad thing for ARPG. Never balanced, never fun. One-shot city. I’d rather the FoH were repurposed into purely PvE zones and PvP players got instances for this stuff. Always trying to sit in some middle-ground - neither group will really be happy in the end.
