There is cc diminishing for mobs, and at the same time, there is no cc diminishing for players?
In D4 mobs farms you.

Another cc-complain thread.

cc is a bit (1s) too long for my taste - although some booby-traps in dungeons would not feel trappy otherwise.
Mob-cc is obviously quite dangerous. If you don’t equip any cc-breaker you are more or less certainly dead. Forced gameplay = Unfun!

But in addition to mobs can chain us: We cannot chain-cc Elites!!! They become cc-immune after an while of combat.
That’s not just ridiculos for the fact my damage then plummets, but also Devs obviously knew about the possibility of chain-cc-ing but still wanted to punish us into forced skill-usage and give mobs a safeguard. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

This might be true, has it been tested on the top end?

I am playing around with builds that do not use these “dreaded” mechanics early T3 has yet to punish.

I go for Gear with CCR Stats and use gems to Reduce Damage while CCed, works pretty well so far, also free’s me up to CC them harder and makes a good trade off.

Myabe it breaks , idk at T4, but so far it works.

Devs played Souls series too much and wanted to port that gameplay here lol. Wrong customer segment.

Well, after u died the game spawn u really really far though. Like so many times, it spawn me alllll the way back to the entrance.

The Minion’s Union begs to differ. It was only last week their spokes person, Steve Darque, said " It’s a tough gig, we get one-shotted, CC’d, AOE’d, poisoned, shadowed, bolted and all manner of torture, purely for the entrainment of others. If this keeps up, we’ll have to consider industrial action"

A very interesting thought. But it will be difficult to implement it in the game.

What class are you playing and why aren’t you using one spell/ability for unstoppable?

They already said they know its a problem and are looking into ways to change it.

They lie. If they can do cc immunity for trash in the dungeon and already did it, what is the problem to do the same thing to players? Its not. They just dont want. They do everything to stagger players in s1 in a stupid attempt to make content “more challenging” and slow down us, cos there is actually nothing to do in the game except leveling.
And now the game feels disgusting.

Im playing rogue with 2 shadowsteps to cc break. But as mentioned before, its not help a lot with the ability to chain cc players by trash. For example, you enter Mercy Reach room, there are TONS of elites, and even 1 cc can kill you in a second, cos among the harmful thing on the floor is beyond sane. But it gets worst, when you break cc and have no time to sustain yourself, cos next cc got you in the same sec. And the next one, and another one.

Learn mobs and what they do. You have a doge. Use it. Most mobs that stun are melee. Dont stand in line of fire.

Ah, nothing compares to that feeling when you are chased by little spider with cold / frost enchant. It hits you twice and you are frozen. The neat thing is, that it hits 3 times per second.

Steve lied. Minions immune to DOT dmg. At least mine, pre-S1 were.

They had a similar problem in D3. And just like in D3 the mobs can also spam CC on us. I really don’t understand why there are so many vanilla D3 mechanics in D4.
Those mechanics were not popular and lead to them being changed.
